Hello, my son is in 331 also. I can't wait to get an actual letter from him.

Just starting to get this information out - We will be scheduling a meet and greet on Thursday October 6th for all the familes of the PIR group for 10/7.  Keep an eye out for the event invite.  I'm just waiting to get a little more information on a couple of things before I schedule it for sure and send invites, but wanted to let everyone know about it early.  It will be a great way for us to meet each other.  Hope to see everyone there!

HI My Son is in Ship 9 Div 331.  I'm new to this site.  I'd like more information on the meet and greet.  My husband and I will be driving out there.  My son plan is to be in Submarines.  We don't know yet if he will be a Grad and Go or if we'll get more time with him. Anyone else have a son who is in this division and also Sub?

My son will turn 19 on the 2nd of October, and his PIR is on his Sister's birthday the 7th.  Fun fact.

My daughter is from Oregon and on Ship 09 and Div 332.   This is my first child in the Navy or any military and I have been struggling with her gone.   It is getting easier and easier each day but was very happy to get the "form" letter.   I have started looking for flights so I can attend graduation.   Would like to keep in touch with other families.  I see there will be a meet and greet on October 6th.  Is this were I need to go to find the times, etc.?

My son  Alex is from Maine and is also on Ship 09 Div 332.  This is my first child and I too have been struggling.  Some days are good and some not so good, but each day seems to be getting better.

We booked our flights today, and will be booking our hotel this week.

Looking forward to seeing and meeting everyone there!

hello this is Dad and NBM of Alex (9-332) I read that there is supose to be a meet and greet are there times and A place. Was wondering also do es any one have the names of good hotels in the area.

LOVE your screen name :-)

Hey Dad - AlexNBM, yes, the meet and greet is scheduled.  Check the main group page updates - I don't always hit every discussion so I might miss some questions.

Please review the Meet and Greet Event and RSVP here:

Hope to see you there!  Have a fabulous day.

Lisa & 4Alex- This is also my first child in any type of Miltary Branch. The last couple of days, I have been really struggling, I just need really need a letter from her this week, letting me know how she is doing. Have you received a letter from your daughter yet? Hope your doing better today.

No letter yet, and I have to admit, this week seems to be just as hard as last week, if not worse.  Tuesday was rough, yesterday was good, today...not so good.  I really miss him and if I could just hear from him to know he is doing OK, I know I would feel better.  I never thought it would be this hard as a parent, letting my first child go!

I hope you are doing better today as well, and hoping we all get letters or calls VERY SOON!

I got my first letter on 8/25/11.   She is really enjoying it.  She told me she was in a lot of pain from her shots but my daughter would never tell me that she is not liking it.   So far her letters are not showing any signs of dislike.   My daughter is going to be going to San Antoni (sp?) for her A school as well.
My daughter will also be going to A school in San Antonio. She is an HM (Hosptial Corpsman)
