Does anyone have an idea on how long a recruit can be in the FIT division to pass a run test?
I got the dreaded phone call last night that my SR failed the final PFA due to coming up short on the 1.5 mile run. He said he is getting a chance today to retake it and if he passes he can call me to let me know he grads with his division this coming friday. I have researched about the FIT div but cant find anything about a deadline to pass before a possible discharge. Does he have weeks?months?
My son has shin splints and is in a lot of pain. He has failed all his running test and said that they may put him on asmo'd into FEP? I have no idea what that means so if anyone knows please let me know. His Division is graduating on 8/16 and he told me they may push his date like a week or two. But from what I have read on the Navy site is that if he don't graduate with his division that he will not have a ceremony for his graduation and will go directly to A-school. Do anyone know if this is true and if its on the Navy site I thought I has to be true. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
The part about graduation is true. My son had trouble with run times and was not allowed to graduate with his class. A couple of days after grad, he passed and was sent straight to A-School. It was disappointing not to see him graduate, but, you will still be able to watch all of his other graduations. Good luck!
