OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Hello!

I haven't spotted anyone from PIR 1/25 yet. If there are any of you out there, I received his official address today. It was exciting just to see his handwriting :)

Fourpack, that is so amazing!  It’s the greatest thing in the world to receive!!

Yay! Husband is estimated to graduate the 25th too but waiting on the form letter for confirmation. Hopefully it comes in this week!

I bet it will!

When did he leave for boot camp? I haven’t received a letter yet. I have been waiting everyday and I am starting to get nervous. He left for boot camp on 11/27.

He left on 11/27 also. The envelope was postmarked 12/7. I've heard that it should come anytime between 9-14 days from the start, (which officially was 12/3).  Hopefully you will get it this week. I was hoping for a letter but it was all graduation information.

Yay!! Hopefully I will get mine this week. I really want to send him a letter but haven’t received anything about his address yet.

We received the letter today and our recruit left on 12/3

Mia, he left on 11/27. I bet you will get it soon!
