OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I haven't spotted anyone from PIR 1/25 yet. If there are any of you out there, I received his official address today. It was exciting just to see his handwriting :)

SuzyQ, I left info on your My Page.

Hello!! We received our daughters form letter today too! My husband sent me a picture and I lost it! I was so excited (like you said) to see her handwriting and to get something official! Her address was given to us by her recruiter AND it was right!  I was so excited to see it confirmed as well as the PIR date for January 25th! She is in Division 092.

Hi! Our address from the recruiter was right too! I took a chance and mailed him a letter before we got the official form. He got it :)

We received a letter from him yesterday. I think I've read it 5 times already. He is busy but sounded like he always does. What a relief!

My son will graduate on 1/25 as well, he's in division 86. Spoke with him on 12/25, so far he sounds pretty excited and proud of his experience.
