Yes, my daughter complained that she hadn't been getting any mail from her husband. He replied that he had sent 4-5. He should have asked her how many she had sent since, no one has received any mail except the 1st form letter from her. Her father told her husband that I write every day and he should too. Snail mail can be too complicated for this generation.
When I posted what my D said I skipped the entire first line. Before he said he was "having fun" he explained to me that he didn't put his sister on the list of people that get in to PIR because she is under 12. My husband questioned why he would have written that. I explained it's because I had drilled into him that he better put his sister on the list even though she was under 12 and he knew that if he didn't explain it I would freak out, lol. Too bad he couldn't remember his other sister's last name and will have to go have it changed :) Susan
My son Wrote on his form letter...""don't know what to think about this place yet...they call us You F***ing dumb sh*ts alot, and I'm the laundry guy!"
Yikes!, I bet they never heard that at home. lol
Depends on if their Dad is retired Navy. lol Everyone has heard the term "talk like a sailor" and 'salty language", welcome to the Navy. I'm sure they don't really mean anything by it.
That's sailor talk for you - good thing he is in the laundry where he can have soap and water to wash the gunk out of his ears.
LOL...Never thought of that! Good point!!! Thanks CJ's Mom!!
Hi to all, I was reading the posts on funny lines from BC, they always make me smile. When I received my son's form letter he wrote on the bottom

"I'm doing good in here"

He made it sound like he was in jail or rehab
Probably both :)
I recieved two letters one day. - One letter was so positive and happy - the second letter was one line. Dear Parents - I want to come home Love your son I cried and then I laughed.
Did you read those in the order they were written?
I wasn't sure which was first. I read the good one first and then opend the bad one. Now it is hailarious to me.
