Hi DeeMarie, I have a son in Ship 09 Division 046 as well.  This is also the first time I am doing this so we can learn together.  I don't have much information. We have only gotten 2 letters from our son.  It seems to be taking a very long time to get his letters. We got one last Friday that was written on the Nov 24th.

Are you getting letters?

Best regards,

Hello there, kristirose4. So glad to hear from you. Well we got a letter and a packet about graduation and some information about writing letters and a little information about bootcamp, probably got that around Thanksgiving actually the day after Thanksgiving. my son said that he may be able to call in 3 wks but this is going on 4 wks and haven't heard from him. I know, this is so hard not being able to talk to him and waiting on letters. How are you holding up? this is nice, we can be there for eachother, and learn together about this web-site. LOL  How long have you been on here? Have you heard from any other Mothers?

DeeMarie, It is very nice to talk with you.  I am sure you feel the same as I do... very helpless and hopeful to hear something. I wonder if they are not letting them write to us on a regular basis right now. We have not gotten any phone calls either. Your time line for letters and packets are the same.  I keep going to the mail box hoping to have something. My Dad was in the Navy and said to expect this, it is pretty stringent for the first 4 weeks or so. But he also said to stay positive. We have already reserved our rooms for the graduation and are planning on staying there for the weekend while he is able to see us. Will you be going to the graduation?

I have not heard from any other Mothers. I have been poking around the website since before he left, but couldn't find anything on his division until you posted your original message. I sure was happy to see your post.

I am very happy to know we will be able to you are out there and we can talk about the progress and updates as we get them.

Thank you
