Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

I sometimes put clip art in my letters to my son. He graduated in February 2008. I was looking for a picture of the capping ceremony to talk to him about it. Therefore, I went back to the RTC website, because I remembered a picture on there. Boy was I surprised to see this site. I have spent HOURS on it since then. Not really to get graduation information - mine already did PIR but I just feel somewhat connected to him through this site. Could you tell me when you started this site - just curious?
We started on Feb. 6th of this year. :)
Hello to all!
I am a new member, my son is currently in his A school in Groton Conn. and will be graduating from there in July. I saw an ad for this site on the TV. I immediately went to the computer and there you were. This has been wonderful for me and I look forward to using this site throughout my sons naval career.

my sons navy recriter told our family about the sight the evening he stopped by to take Justin off to the hotel stay before BC. I was thrilled to be able to find out sooooo much about the navy, BC and other ppls' expierences. This has been a great network. I am in here daily...always finding new info. Google navy boot camp' and check out some "for REAL" videos on what those recruits go through...it was a real "eye-opener! Thanks everyone, LInda div161 ship 7 mom
My mom got me into this site. And she got into from my recruiter. Started as a big joke because she asked him where her plaque was for putting 3 Nukes in the navy, then she was asked to talk to people about it for the news, then it all snowballed into this!
That and I was brought down to Boston for a breakfast with everyone from the site and got to meet everyone so I figured I would join up to keep in touch with everyone :)
I found out about this site from my husband, who is in the Navy. He received an email promoting this website from a Navy Force counselor.
RTC Great Lakes website. I was trying to find information on what they were doing and when and clicked on a link that got me here. This was way better!
