I have a question in regards to communication , how do you send a letter to your sailor, does a ship has an address? do they need to live the port in order to receive the letter or they only receive while still at the port? I would like to send a birthday message, but I don't have an address.
Is there a chance to talk to them if they are at sea?
Thank you so much for any information

Every ship has an FPO address. The mail is flown out to them, or in some cases, goes out on supply ships. You can google the FPO box number and zip code, and just send a card or letter like regular mail. You'll need your sailors name, and it is best if you know their title/rate and division. Just search for USS (ship name) FPO address, and you should be able to find it.
