My husband left for boot camp two days ago, I'm already going crazy! Anyone else have a recruit that left this date?? The phone call he got was brief, maybe 20 seconds, but he was sweet and made two videos on my phone for me and our 6 mo son before he left so that's been a life saver.

Yes, the form letter will include the mailing address, the PIR date, and the names of the 3 or 4 people he plans to put on the Access List for PIR.

Perfect! It's like baby steps, first phone call, box, form letter, actual letters, etc. it's making it a little easier.

:o)

So I just received my son's belongings today! Hopefully we will get the form letter soon too.
Just got my box! Don't know if he'll PIR with your guys or not being a day behind you. The 31st would be okay as it's his grandmothers 80th birthday, which would be sort of special!

SInce your SR is a only day behind them, he will still be in the 05/24/2013 TG--unless something strange happened that pushed him back a week, which happens once in a while for those arriving on Friday rather than for one who arrived on Thursday as yours did.

I'm starting to get really frustrated. Seems like a few people have gotten form letters already for those who left on March 27th but I haven't received it yet. Really hope it comes soon because the waiting is killing me!!!
Ugh!!!!

I know it's hard when others have received the form letter and you haven't, but the average time to receive the form letter is still 10 days after arrival, so hopefully you will have it on or by Saturday. (Some take two weeks.)

Well I feel so stupid and left out. Just received text from my son's girlfriend regarding his form letter and address. That's why I didn't receive anything yet because he sent it to her instead. I realize I'm not the most important person in his life but I thought he would have at least sent the form letter to us. My feelings are so hurt right now.
I just got my letter today! Aww Shante, I'm sure he didn't mean for you to feel hurt,
I'm glad you have his mailing address now! The letters are going to be a life saver for me.
Don't feel bad Shante, at least you have the info now. I made a deal with my son that his girlfriend could be the phone priority but I was the letter priority. Hope he sticks to it. Lol
