My son left and arrived yesterday. I got my arrival phone calls last night. He called back and told us about the box. If I'd have known about needing a phone card I'd have gotten him one before he left. I'll put one in the first letter.
The posts here make me emotional, otherwise I'm fine. Other than that, like everyone I'm looking for any and all info I can get and can't wait to connect with other moms once I find out exactly where he is. In the meantime, I've been looking for posts having to…

Thanks to everyone. We went and saw her off. It was hard and yes I did cry but she was smiling so that made it so much easier. I feel bad for a lot of the other parents because when they sent the recruits out to get thier bags they didn't realize that that was it, after they all got back into the room they came out and got right on the bus. We were lucky that she went right by us and told us that she was getting on the bus right away so we could say goodbye. And she kept her phone with her, so…

We were lucky that she went right by us and told us that she was getting on the bus right away so we could say goodbye. And she kept her phone with her, so she did text me on the way to the airrport and she's been updating her facebook page, so it's like I still have her for a little while longer. I can't wait until graduation to see her again. Again, thanks to everyone for your support, I'll be back. You will get through it! You will get through it! It is a very proud moment but also very emotional! I cry easy so I worried that I would be a mess, but I made it! I remember thinking how young the kids all looked and what a big job they have in front of them. My son left May 25 and is coming to the end of BC. I know it has been hard, but in the 2 phone calls he sounds like he is very happy with his decision. His first call was limited to 5 min. and he cried while he was talking to me. It broke my heart! But intalking with other Moms on this site I found that this was not uncommon. Get on this site every day and when you know what your daughters ship and division are, start connecting with those Moms. It will make you feel so much better. It will also help to pass the time. We all are in this together and we can be very proud of our sons and daughters. My prayers are with your daughter! Kellysmom: I remember feeling exactly the same thing you are now when my son left April 26th for boot-camp.. Dustin and I have a very special bond and my heart was breaking into a 1,000 little pieces.. Dustin did not tell me I could go to the swearing in ceremony. When I asked him about he, he said mom it was just easier saying good-bye at home. He was my home body and mama's boy.. : ) I cried so much the first 3 weeks I thought I would never make it to the end of boot-camp. Then when his first…

He was my home body and mama's boy.. : ) I cried so much the first 3 weeks I thought I would never make it to the end of boot-camp. Then when his first letter and call came.. I had a light of hope that just maybe I could endure this. The love and support I recieved on this site was HUGE!! My son was a 9 week boot-camper. He graduated June 25th... My son was excited to become a Sailor and wanted to carry on the family tradition of our military service.. The first 3-4 weeks are the absolute worst. At least for me it was.. I just wanted to know anything... something... The only understanding I found was on the this site.. We are all here for you to lift you up and carry you in your darkest hours.. Send her uplifting cards that make her laugh, tell her silly things that happens in your day.. I wrote letters from our dogs to Dustin.. I had all his friends and family post messages on his face book page and I copied and pasted it and mailed it to him.. They need you to keep them strong.. Their shipmates become like their family so know they will get encouragment and help form them as well. Dustin told me a few letters made him cry because although I was saying funny things to him he could see where my tears had hit the paper and dried.. Hang in there.. And when you need us come and get the hugs and love and warmth you need... : ) Anna Thank You Debbie & anyone…tag:navyformoms.ning.com,2010-07-06:1971797:Comment:38515902010-07-06T15:53:31.681Zkelly67https://navyformoms.ning.com/profile/kellyb139

When your son leaves tomorrow, it will be a proud moment for you. The swearing in is very powerful, and emotional especially when you hear them say the words. N4M's is a very supportive and I found these moms can answer your questions. My son left for BC on June 25th, so he is starting his second week of BC. Be proud and stay strong. We will all make it through it. One more thing, you will cry tomorrow. I still have my moments when I cry. Take care and God Bless Your and Your Family.
I understand what you are going through today. My son left for BC on June 25th, and my husband and I saw him being sworn in. It is a proud moment for parents, especially mom's. Believe me you will cry when you experience the swearing in, but be proud. Although I am in my second week, I still have my moments when I break down. I found that this support is great, and you will find a lot comfort here. Keep the faith and stay strong.
