Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

My son is on that ship. He left Feb 7th. Will PIR on April 1st. Me and his Dad will be driving up there from Weatherford texas a very long trip. Hoping to get a letter from him soon. Got the box and letter telling about PIR day and a little note at the bottom from him saying he was doing fine.

Oh, wow....I'm in Euless. We are not that far apart!! We decided to fly. Fellow co-worker drove and it was 18 hours one way. Just a little too long for us, plus we have to get back. Also, afraid of bad weather.

We're in Katy, and we r flying too. With three kids still in school the drive would just take too much time away from school. We did consider takin the train though. Much cheaper and not as hard as driving yourself.

Well hope the bad weather will be gone by then. Plus we are stopping in New Orleans on the way back to visit my Aunt. Dont look forward to the drive though.

Shanna- You need to join the PIR 4-1-11 group. You will find many people that share your SR's ship. They have their own discussion plus we all share any info we have! Come join us!

My son is also Ship11 Div117. Have gotten one good letter, two short letters. No phone call. I heard they have to have to purchase calling cards. Have you heard that?

texasnavymom~Did you send him with one? My girlfriend bought one for him as a gift before he left so he had one to go with. I don't know if they can call collect or not. I know that the card is recommended & to make sure it is activated before you send it to them. We got our first call last sat at 10:15 am. He used the card. Has anyone else got a call from your ship yet? I would send one asap just in case. Maybe send it priority so you know he will have it in a few days. I guess you better make sure that is ok too. i am clueless!!!

@ TexasNavyMom: They do say in the books and stuff they give them before they leave what they need...and a calling card is a must!! I already got two calls from my son and its wonderful. I am happy he didn't spend it all on a friend, cause he also needed his license...smile. Send him one so he can call you.
