Hi! My son also left on 2/7/2011.  It's hard to get used to that's for sure!! I just got his address today so that made me happy. His "box" came in today. That kind of broke my heart! But he's been working so hard for this, I know he's ready. I'm not too sure that I am! :)
My son left Feb 8th. I cant believe you have the address and the box already. Wow my son told me i was not allowed to call his recruiter for the address. I need to wait like everyone else :(

Five10fevr,

My son told me to call the recruiter because we can get it quicker than when they send it personally. I bet if you call his recruiter you can get it and by the time they are able to receive mail he will be very happy to hear his name called because there is mail there for him!!

Just talked to my sons recruiter.  He did not have an address for me.  He said I could call NEXT WEEK if I haven't gotten the letter by then.   Is the address you got a temporary address?  I would love to get mail to him as soon as possible.
They would not give to me either....I'm hoping for Monday or Tuesday. I race for the mailbox everyday!!
I totally feel your pain.  The recruiter was not even trying to be helpful.  I am hoping that since the box came quick the letter will also.  I hate that others may be getting mail and he won't.  But he will be glad to get it when he does, I guess.
Yea i got the box, but no address!

Overtheedge65-

You got the box today? Where are you located? I am in California and wondering if its taking longer to get here :( I dont have my sons address either.

Our daughter left on the 8th also, we got her box Thursday. That was really quick, but I think it was probably better since I didn't have that much time to miss her yet.  I called the recruiter and he told me he would email me the address. If I don't hear anything by Tuesday, I think I'll call back;)  She sent a really sweet valentine card with some special thoughts....now that made me cry.
Neave..she sent a valentine from boot camp?
She sent it in her box. Wrote it out the night before she left. Actually at the hotel, right after we said goodbye.
How did you get his address? The recruiter will not give it to us :(
