I know they get to write on Sundays and mail is delivered to them every night Mon-Friday but do they get to read letters each night or do they have to wait until Sunday? Common sense tells me they get to read each night for daily (hopefully) motivation but at this point...I'm not sure about much in way of their timelines LOL

Leahsmommy, that is good that you anticipated the need.

I left info for you on your My Page.

I received a letter today.  10 pages!  She writes a little every night if she can and sends it on Sunday.  She said that receiving letters is the best part of her day.  She reads and writes around 10pm at night.  The first line of her letter was, "Whoever said I would have time to write on Sundays was a liar."  She is ship 03 Div. 288.

Mr mom, I left info for you on your My Page.

Yes, there is a delay for recruits to receive mail, but it should catch up soon.

Mr mom, You are very welcome. there is more info for you on your My Page.

I typed a little form letter from my son to myself with a bunch of multiple choice questions, simple fill in the blanks, etc. My son is not much of a writer, so I thought this might be way to try to get some of the information that worries me the most - what he's doing, how his days are going, how he's feeling mentally and physically, and the overall experience... without having to rely on him figuring out how to answer all my questions in the little bit of spare time he has to read and write.

I've been writing just about every night despite the fact that we don't have an address for him yet (arrived in Great Lakes on 8/9) and numbering .  Hope I get that soon because my letter pile is growing!  It would sure be nice to have a PIR date to start planning travel and time off from work.

I've been stalking my mailman daily; if that letter doesn't come soon, I don't know what I will do!

Mattsmomma, there are some links for questionnaires within Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit.

Ours arrived just before so you should get your form letter soon!! We just got ours over the weekend! Keep writing and hang in there !!

Dana, I left info for you on your My Page.

My son asked me to print out the lyrics to a few songs for him.  I sent that letter to him on August 10th.  He didn't receive it until Wednesday, August 16th.

mommamia93, thanks for sharing.
