Hello Ladies...
Taking a minute to check in... my mom has been in and out of the hospital for over a month now... Splitting time between her and caring for my dad. So sorry I have been out of the loop. Looking forward to reconnecting and shipping some navy mom love! One and all you amaze me with how very much you care!
Susan your pretty amazing yourself ..it take a lot to do what you do ..I've been there done that..it can take a lot out of you be sure to stop and take some time for yourself.
Thanks Peggy and Staci... Connecting to this site and remembering the rest of the world is good for my soul!
Steve's Mom - We here in Colorado are always aware of the moisture load -- is it possible to ship some of yours to us? (Ha, ha!) We are so dry here! We are probably looking at water restrictions in the Denver metro area come July, if not in June. I hope your house is okay and I was encouraged that the National Guard and others have been there to help you. Keep your spirits up and hope for a slow melt, and we'll try to keep the snow here in the Rockies and send it south just for you!
oh ugggg... Water restrictrions. Having all these Navy sister all over the world has made me so thankfull. Living in ND all these years (power plant central) we have never had a brown out or black out because there wasn't any electricity. We have never been restricted from using water even though we have been in drought from the last 10 years. My taxes on a large 5 bedroom bilevel home is less then what most of my friends pay every three months. So, whats a little snow and flooding in exchange for the beautiful country and people out this way :)
Water restrications, "Welcome to Florida".....
Forcasters have Predicted that florida will have a dry season just like back in 2000. IN that year we had MASS fires...tons lost their homes, wildlife was lost and much of the beautiful land.
Its not very green down here now, due to lack of rain and restrications...It makes for a VERY dusty place.
My taxes are quite good here but as always ...it depends where and HOW you live down here..You want to be a gluten, then you will pay for it. NO state tax?? but we are a very transit state and unemployment is high. We depend on those tourist $$ but DAM they can and are the most annoying people.....GET A MAP or a GPS in that freaking car...-sorry about that-..that combined with our high retirement rate and some that should NOT be driving, well get the mental pic....
OH well no where is perfect, if it was we all be living there...
!!!!! ♥
lol Anita...no feeding the local wildlife :) I am going to pick up those yard games in the bag next week. They have a net, ball, badmitten and jarts. I just need to check the size and make sure they are not to large.

Shell
