Hello Everyone! It is my privilege to choose our March Group! First, though, I must extend hearty anniversary wishes to Navy for Moms.com! Yesterday I consulted with my "posse" who write letters and add to the boxes every month. They are ages 2 through 11. We looked at maps and anysailor. We are going to Kuwait this mont

I know that I have big shoes to fill considering my excellent predecessors but I pray you will all join me in showering these brave sailors with some N4M love! Pat

I love our little local auctions and am quick to buy the big boxes crammed with "stuff" for a buck or two. Well, I dug out a couple of boxes from an auction two months ago, I thought it was a box of summer toys that you play at the beach with. Turns out there is a lot of buckets and pails, but at the very bottom of the last box was 3 rectangle boxes full of trading cards! One was full of baseball cards, the other pookieman, and the last was football cards from 2004. Everytime I send a box or letter, I am going to toss in some cards. I know in the past that some of the past discussion that our sailors love to give these out to local children. :) today is a good day!
Love the donated Bikes -------OK we need measurements so that we can work on this.
Molly, I was told at the post office that the largest box they would accept is 17x34x17. If both tires were taken off, how long is the frame.? If these sailors can keep helicopters flying then surely they could put a bike back together. And they would have to have tools too!
LOL PAT ---------GREAT point . These guys can put together anything, and I bet they would have a blast doing it too.
Hi ladies,
I just stuffed a box with 30 pillowcases and they are all different! I love it. And a couple of books, foot cream, blister gel and 30 lip balms. I'm off to the post office. I was so excited to receive the email from Feb's group this morning. I posted it.

gently used works great! Have an awesome day Ladies!
soft feet, soft lips and a nice pillowcase...ahhhhhhh we luv ya Sue!
Suzanne - Maybe the Colorado Moms could take on the shipping costs between us if you have someone that is donating bikes. A friend suggested calling the Olympic Training Center and asking how they box and ship their bikes - since they do it regularly. Maybe they have a plan no one has thought of yet - although these moms have sure processed a lot of information in a short period of time. I'll see if I can find a number and call on Monday, maybe someone in the Administration department would share information. Let me know what you think about putting this out to our moms.
Chris:
I think the shipping questions comes down to the APO/FPO problem. We have the USPS regulations and then the military regulations....
Weather for Kuwait City:

Highs: 70's - 80's
Lows: 50's - 60's

This was from a 10 day forecast.
Hey Pat and Miss Molly's Moms - Check it out. I just opened my email a few minutes ago and look what was there:

Colorado Navy Moms,
Today I received 4 packages from you and when I opened them I was in
awe. Not only was it my first package out here but the goodies inside
them were amazing. I appreciate every effort put into this act of
appreciation. I distributed many items to the men and women in my
command and they were grateful. Thank you for putting a smile on my face
as well as those I work and live with. About myself, My name is Juan
