My daughter is leaving Nov. 5th for boot camp.

Anyone else have someone going that day?

My son is leaving Nov. 26. It all still seems so unreal, even with the pile of flash cards on the table all the time (he's trying to memorize the orders before he leaves).  I haven't seen anyone on here yet who is leaving the same day as my son, though.  I hope you find some folks soon!

Thank you for the reply.

I found out about this site, not through the recruiter's office, but through one of the office workers at my daughter's dentist.  I'm so glad she told me about it.  It has helped tremendously.

I found it through a postcard that fell out of a packet of information that my son brought home from his trip to the recruiter. I'm finding so much helpful information here, and  realistic views of what to expect.

Hi, my son is leaving November 5th.  How are you doing with this?

I'm proud & excited for her, but at the same time I'm so sad & nervous.

Every time I really look at her, I think I'm about to cry.

How are you doing with it?

the same, I think it is beginning to hit me a little more now...it is coming up too fast.  I am glad I found this site, just wish I knew about when they will graduate.  I see that a letter will be sent home I guess we have to wait.  Still navigating my way through this site.....Thanks for friending me.....

It should be some time in January, provided they don't get sick, have injuries, & they pass everything on time.

Has he been working out?  My daughter's recruiter said doing curl ups & running will help alot to get her through.  If they are not used to running, stress fractures can happen.

My son is also leaving Nov. 5th. What state do you live in?

I live in Florida.

She is going to freeze up there!
