I'm really new at this and this site. I was just woundering if there are any other newbies on here with the same date??
My daughter left on Nov.13 , and we got a call from her yesterday but it was really quick, just saying they are all doing good and Monday would be the firts day of thier PT. Im so happy to hear her voice .
So I'm woundering do they let the SRs call today??? I was kind of hoping they would because its Thanksgiving and all but wasnt really sure?? I think it is finally hitting me that my little girl is not here! I know she is an adult and this is a great thing for her...but it sure would be nice just to hear her voice!!! I have been ok with this until right now!!! I guess I just shouldnt think about it, makes it a little easier!
Any calls will be up to the RDC, but remember there are a whole lot of Recruits at the RTC and it would be very hard to give all of them even 5 minutes at the phone banks on one day, some have been adopted out, so that means there are 2 TG's less at the RTC. Don't expect a call, but have your phone available and be pleasantly surprised if you do get one. (See Phone Cards and Phone Calls.)
Yes, I put "(generally 6000-7000 or more)" in the link above. (See Phone Cards and Phone Calls.) I figured it just as you did. When you add those in Ship 4 and Ship 5, the number can easily be well over 7000 at any one time depending on the number of divisions in each TG.
I was hoping for a phone call today, too! I received my daughter's box with her clothes yesterday, but didn't receive any address to write to her. Does anybody know if that is normal? I was doing fine until I opened the box and saw her stuff.
Yes, the form letter arrives separately from the box. The box is shipped just as P-days are starting and the form letter is mailed when P-days are over and your recruit has been officially assigned to a ship.

My daughter is in Ship 12 Div 053, too! I receive a letter from her yesterday.
My son left on November 13th. Ship 14 Div 055. I got his box of clothes and the form letter last Monday but I have yet to hear from him yet either by phone or mail. I did not even get a "I am here" call the night he arrived. I feel like a bad Mom because I did not send him with a phone card. I hope that is not the reason he hasn't called. But I mailed him one last week and also mailed him some stamps, so hopefully I will hear something soon. But no news is good news right?
