My son headed to bootcamp October 9, 2013 and a year later we are still thrilled with his decision to enlist. I remember the timing seeming so long while he was in bootcamp and how precious those few phone calls home were. Now he lives in Hawaii, loves his job and is thriving. It really is all worth it! I would tell you write her, write her, write her. We were advised to do so and my son said the greatest thing at camp was hearing from home- both the exciting and the mundane. With his personality we were not anticipating any home sickness but he really missed home. Blessings!
