He is a delayed entry recruit so I have had time to get used to the idea. He singes on to be a corpsmen (medic right). If recruits leave together on the 4th do they grad together?
Hope to meet other moms!

Dawn,  I am thinking we will get the form letter next week, hoping for tomorrow but trying to not get my hopes up :)  It will have their ship/division #'s so we can mail letters and determine the PIR date.  Sorry to hear about your additional stress right now, hang in there :)

Same here.  Clothes and some paperwork.  His copies I guess.  Do you think that was fast for the box to arrive?  I wasn't looking for it yet so maybe the letter will get here soon!

Another mom posted she got her box on Wednesday and the form letter Thursday and her son arrived on the 4th also.  I think it depends on how close to GL you live, she is in SW Wisconsin.  I got my box today, so am hoping for the letter tomorrow.  No paperwork in my box though.

Ohhh would love to get that form letter so I can start communication with him!!!

I will have to be on the look out for it ;)

Does the box come regular mail or did you have to sign for it? UPS? FedEx?

You don't have to sign...I believe it's FedEx.

Mine was Fedex and they left it on the porch.

Oh and are any of you on FB that would like to be friends?

Friend me, I am Dawn Cullen Gould, just put navy in message line :) that would be great

I am sorry but you will need to remove this post. Last names are not allowed on this site. (See the N4M's Community Guidelines/OPSEC. You can get there by going to the upper right column if this page...you will see the link...just click it.) If it is different from your SR's it is still not recommended. You can friend others in this site and use the private messaging system here and/or give out your FB info through it. Thank you!
I was hoping for a line or two at least on the inside flap of the box, but I don't think they had time for that :(

They have zero time to write anything on the box.  I think they get like 30 seconds to litterally strip down and put the stuff in the box.

But you will get a one or two line note on the letter =)
