Okay, ladies, Sue has a mystery project and it is BIG! There are so many details that still need to be resolved and time is very short. So sewers, (wo)man your machines. Sue says, "we need generic patriotic prints for a huge mailing at the end of the month." Even if this falls through, the pillowcases will be used.

The challenge is on: How many different pillowcases can you get done?

I just washed enough fabric for about 20 cases so tomorrow night I'll start ironing and cutting. So I guess I'm commiting to 20! Wow, my first bunch, woohoo! Thanks to the lady that sent me a bunch of the fabric, you guys all rock!
Great news, Barbara. Isn't it great when you receive a bunch of fabric. It's just like Christmas! And it allows me to do sewing I could not do otherwise.
you sure do! love how we are helping each other so we can help our troops.

Barbara, didn't you tell me that inherited a bunch of Christmas fabric? how much, what kind of patterns, do you have plans for it? another MYSTERY. haha.
And the new mystery is already solved. but I am going to check on our 1st mystery today.,
Right now I have 35 pillowcases that are made with patriotic material. My friend made them and some of them are not the full size pillowcase but smaller because she has a friend who has a daughter in the Air Force and she said that sometimes the pillows they have while out are smaller so she made some of these smaller for that purpose. She is making others that are full size as well. Since she donated the material and her time to make them I didn't not want to take them. Can we use these for the mystery project?
What are the measurements?
Matt's mom, she is right, the pillows are small. At least they were on the Lincoln, That's why I brought home the pillowcase that a sailor was leaving behind, cause I knew that it fit.
try a smaller one on a pillow. how does it fit? I have a crew member who makes them alittle smaller and they still fit my pillows.

so no worries! we will use them. but please measure and let us know, so we can decide the best way to use them.

make sense?
I heard from my contact today. We are still moving forward but I am unable to tell at this point. But I know each one of you will want to have a part of this special project.

So even if you only make one, go for it. Especially with the cute notecards that Dori made up. Please let her know what you can do.
great question Dori! the answer will make a difference. haha. don't you love a mystery?
I think you posted this to make me wonder ... you want me to have more weird dreams??
not you, everyone else. think about what pages you have been on today.
okay SCORE!!!!! I got 33 from crew members today, and I made 8 this weekend. So that brings my totals to this:

125 for the mystery project FIRM, unless I get a better offer. haha. just teasing.
29 generic
24 female
4 duplicates

Please note: I took 116 for the NG unit 8 days ago and now I have received more than I took. ISN'T God GREAT!!!!
p.s. I actually knew on Friday that the 33 were done and I would get them today at our tea.
Curves ladies rock!

So Dori, please give me a detailed list of who is doing what, so we know where we stand. I have fabric out to 4 of my crew members still. Plus I have about 10 pcs cut out for this project.
