Hi SpineNurse63- I very much appreciate your wonderful reply. I can't wait to get her the good news about A school and certification. I hope she can see that it isn't hopeless and that she can have all her dreams. Fingers crossed the next phone call is a little better. She graduates 4/3 but will be preforming at your son's graduation... she is a flag holder (Hopefully I will find out which flag she is carrying the next time I talk to her). As far as I know your daughter does qualify for Tricare Reserve Select. It is medical insurance and cheap and still good. Pretty sure she should have some form of the GI Bill. I know a lot of Air Force Reservists that are going to school with the help of the GI Bill. And as far as the EMT certificate I'm pretty sure most colleges will let the EMT with military back ground test out of two semesters or at least to get an LPN license. It isn't as gloomy as she thinks - yes if her A school starts right after boot camp she will miss starting school in August, but she shouldn't worry too much she will have that EMT license and can work either on an Ambulance or in an ER that will give her even more experience. By the way I am an RN. So her dreams aren't absolutely crushed - just a different path, which may benefit her. When will she graduate? You can private message me if there is anything else I can do.
You may want to join Navy Res…tag:navyformoms.ning.com,2015-02-15:1971797:Comment:89429692015-02-15T22:02:12.267Zlemonelephanthttps://navyformoms.ning.com/profile/lemonelephant
