OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Do whatever it takes to organize a bunch of Moms, Dads, recruits and families and friends for a great time during Navy weeks!!!!

Where will the Navy Week be in Los Angeles? I know they will be pulling into the Port Of LosAngeles in Long Beach/San Pedro butg that covers a HUGE area! Does anyone know where the ship USS Abraham Lincoln will be docking on Monday? I have a ton of family members that want to see it pull in!  HELP!!

San Antonio Navy Week is Oct. 24-30, with the Randolph Air Force Base Airshow Oct. 29-30 featuring the Blue Angels.

The Navy Band New Orleans will perform at different events and Sailors from USS San Antonio, as well as Sailors stationed in the area locally, are coming to participate in some of the events.

In general, Navy Weeks are designed to bring Sailors to an area that doesn't have a large Navy presence so that people can talk to the Sailors and better understand life in the Navy and the Navy's mission.
