Barry's gf - to join a group, go to the group heading up top. Then, you will can scroll thru all 1000+ groups or put "nuke school charleston" or "navy moms" in the search box, then enter. This will let you see the discussion. To actually join, you just have to indicate you want to join once you get to the site. Sorry this is not very clear. You can also go to how to do things on N4M site. Good luck. My son finished prototype in December and is not stationed in Groton. It is a roller coaster…

My son was 29 and very mature when he went in so I really didn't expect much of a change, but there was! He just carried himself more proudly, was softer spoken, more considerate. Just generally more "together." Any changes seem to be for the good.

1. Two to three weeks.
2. Don't know yet, it could be either. He may fly out Friday of he's going down to nuke school. He will know if he is grad and go closer to the end of boot camp.

3. More mature, more confident, possibly more organized. More focused. His PIR weekend, he may still be wound up and not used to talking much. That's temporary. Oh, and frequently, more polite.
4. He can have his phone right away at Nuke school, but he will have times he can't use it. He can have visits soon after he gets there, but he has to earn his privileges. While he is at Goose Creek, he can only travel 450 miles on the weekends (no flights without permission), unless he is granted leave days (unusual).
