We were also able to talk to her on facebook for a while afterwards. She got to touch base with some of her friends...

I got 2 thiry minute calls from my husband today!! Oh, it was so good to hear his voice. I have only gotten one other short call. He said that it isn't THAT hard, and that it is less exercise that he expected. The hardest part is performing at the Graduations and getting to see all the graduating sailors who get to leave with their families.

they are working really hard to be hall of fame :)

Merry Christmas!

Suzanne

Does anyone know which church they were at? I am wondering if some of the church members might post pics- my SR said that they were taking pics of them. Wouldn't it be great to see them!?
Hi Suzanne..I saw somewhere that the kids were at North Point Church. I googled it and the church has  an fb page.On their page was a post about the 'adoption'. I have a thank you card to the church ready for Monday's mail.
Did 907 moms check out North Point Christian church facebook??.... 28 pics!!
thanks for sharing! So excited to see them all- looks like they were treated to a wonderful day! THanks and Love to North Point Church
Oh I'll hafta look again! Iooked earlier today but didn't see my boy.I was wondering if that was the wrong church? I'll check aain. For those moms that saw you kiddos on fb...SOOOO EXCITING!!

I sent a thank you, to North Point Christian Church and this was there response:

Hi Amparo!

It was our pleasure to serve the many recruits today! I believe this is the 4th year we have done this as a church.
Personally, my husband is the Lead Pastor here at North Point and you'd
think that our 3 kids (15, 14 and 9 years old) would be thinking,
"Really? Church on Christmas Day?" but they love it and so do we. This
is something that we do to serve. Because we love God, we are called to
love others and this is one way we can do that. We appreciate what
these men and women are doing to serve our country. We know we may
never see them again but hope that this one gesture can help them to
know they are loved, not only by a church in a little town near Chicago -
but by Jesus Christ.

Thanks for taking the time to write, keep in touch with us - we'd love to follow as many recruits as we can.

Merry Christmas to you as well! Some people have started posting pics, I expect more to come in soon!
