I finally received a phone call from my son we talked for about 15 min and he really sounded good.
WootWoot!

Good to hear care bear !

He said he didn''t get to call because he was on watch...But that is okay with me it was worth the wait...HOOYAH!
Just a heads up on ribbon orders. If you have already ordered ribbons to wear to PIR for this PIR group and have made your payment your ribbons were shipped this morning so be watching the mail for those. Stalking the mail man is advised lol. Please let me know what you think of them when they arrive. I know you will wear them proudly to PIR :-) Have a wonderful weekend everyone. If you have any questions send me a message or friend request. Thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your group and allowing me to make the ribbons for you and your families.   Lora
You never know how delighted I am to find this group.  :)   Thank you!  My son is in Div 949 and proud of it.  :)
Hey Neciet welcome! I was wondering where the rest of this divs moms were lol
Yep!  Here I am!  I thought I felt so alone and missing my son.  :)  I kept his room open and can still feel his presence in the house.  Now, he's in the Navy!  How fast the days are!  My husband and I will be coming to the graduation.  I hope to see there many of the moms here also.  :)
Welcome Neciet!
Thanks, ThunderD'sMom!  Glad to be here!
Welcome aboard  Neciet!  I am missing my son as well but in less than three weeks we will all get to see our sailors
Wow if you spend enough time on this website you can learn so much.  Just thought I would share what I read today under "Group Rate Marks" .  The scorecard link had pics & descriptions of the marks.  I remember my son told me that he had 3 red stripes & now I know what he meant.  He is not an SR he is a FN.

"While your Sailors have been at Boot Camp many Moms get into the habit of calling them SR, Seaman Recruit. This is perfectly correct, up to PIR. But when they march into the hall you will notice that some Sailors have 2 or 3 stripes on their upper left sleeves. And the stripes may be white/black, red, green or blue. What's this all about?  A Sailor with no stripes may be an SR, but s/he might be a FR, AR or CR. A Sailor with stripes is no longer a Recruit, but may be a SA, SN, FA, FN, AA, AN, CA or CN. You can't tell the players without a scorecard and to see the scorecard click HERE. Don't embarrass yourself by calling your Sailor an SR when he may be a FN. They like it when you know their correct rate."  AND....welcome aboard Neciet!
