Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 911

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thank you mindyeus. I hope you have a Merry Christmas as well. My SR failed the swim test as well because of treading water/face floating. He was sick when it was given so he wasn't able to tread and hold his breath very well. He's ready to re-take it now. I'm so proud of him and all the SR's and is comforting to know he's in such a good DIV.
I hope I get to hear from him on Christmas (his 18th b-day) but I understand if I don't because there's so many recruits that need to call.

The phone call friday was a surprise.  What a blessing to get that voice hug from my son.   I know you you guys know what I mean when I say that.

Excited to get the next one....  I hope that they will be able to call around Christmas But knowing how many recruits are there I understand the difficulty of that as well.

Merry Christmas to all of you and to your recruits.  may they all be blessed with their new "family" around them on Christmas Day!  And walk proud parents and spouses (and Girlfriends) on the holiday even if we do not hear from them, because they are making a career choice that sometimes will bring sacrifices.

I just ordered the "Proud Navy Mom", "Proud Navy Dad", "Proud Navy Brother", "Proud Navy Sister" ribbons...yayyy!!

Has anyone heard from their SR in this division lately?  I am wondering how they are holding up...I missed the call on Christmas day so I feel like I am out of the loop.  Waiting on a letter or 2 as well.

Is anyone going to the meet & greet on Thursday?

mindyeus...  I have not heard anything since the friday prior to Christmas...   I have been wondering how those boys were doing  as well.    I did not even have a missed call on Christmas... Which I think I was glued to the phone all day Christmas Eve and Christmas Day just in case....

And we are planning on going to the meet and greet as long as we get there in time.. We are driving and crossing our fingers that the roads are good to us that day.

mboyCadel:  We are flying into Milwaukee, then driving to GL from the airport.  Where are you driving from?  We considered driving, but my friend's dad is a truck driver and said the roads can be really bad and the shorter the distance the better.

mindyeus....  we are driving from north central Minnesota. about a 10 hour drive in good weather..  the roads can be yucky this time of year and if you are not used to driving on them it is much better to be closer...  the drive down from Milwaukee is better than driving thru Chicago on nasty roads if they get snow that weekend.  So your friends dad is correct the shorter the better this time of year

Good to know myboyCadel!  I look forward to meeting you & the rest of the proud Navy parents, loved ones, etc...

Any division 911 that will be at PIR 1/23/15 and plan to go to Sarges meet and greet, please leave me a message on my page here. Im working on table decor and need to know how many are coming and which state you represent.

We are attending the meet & greet RyansMom.  There will be 4 of us.

What state does you SR represent?
