It was suggested to start up a discussion for the divisoins

My daughter is in so that is what I am doing.  Hope to meet other moms out there whose child is going through the same thing at the same time which in turn means thier mom is going through the same thing that I am.

I look forward to talking to and getting to know you all.

I don't think we will be going to the meet and greets, we have a long drive with an 8 year old so he will be cranky when we get there.  I made reservations yesterday at Hilton Garden Inn located in Lake Forest. Something distictive sounds good to me, any ideas?  I did order myself a Navy Mom tee shirt last week looking forward to getting that!

where did you order from? tks

It is Armed Forces Gear, very resonable prices.

We will be staying at the navy lodge - and will be attending sarges meet and greet - i have had the opportunity to talk to him on the phone and he has lots of info for us all while we are there.

got a letter from my SR yesterday, postmarked on Tue - snail mail is heating up!

She said they all passed Marlinspike and she has a good idea of how they will respond at Battlestations.  (sounds good to me)

Also as of Wed (3/14) they would be on 3-5 day and begin Hell Week.  Her words: I can't see how it could get more hellish...gas chamber maybe.

She wants more pics of anything and everything from home.

Some moms are getting calls this weekend too (from PIR 4/6 discussion), so maybe we will all hear from our SR "live" !!

FYI

if anyone hears when Battlestations is for our Div, private message FTLW or dainnep

then we can all find out!!

I know they will do well, i am just being a mom and want to stay ahead of the game

Yes, I also am anxious to hear about Battlestations.  Received a letter yesterday and she sounded like she was doing a little better. She did extremely well on her firing (shooting) tests.  Surprised me on that one!!   She said she wont' be able to call again until the last week of March if then :(   She said she was surprised to see lots of people rarely get mail at all from home...so sad!!

really sad about the mail :( My SR says the all share their pictures, so at least those folks have some things to look at...

the end of march is about when battlestations should be so maybe that is the call she is talking about

i am getting excited!!(like i was calm before!?)

Have you heard when BS is?  If so could you send me a private email to let me know?  Sneed102@netzero.com  Also, what time is everyone planning on getting to the base for graduation i know it will be early but i was thinking like 6 45 or so.

look in your personal email :)

It is so hard to believe that PIR is right around the corner.  My husband, myself and our other three children will be going to see her at graduation.  We are so excited.  We will be flying in on the 4th so that we have a day to rest so we will not be tired for the little bit of time we have with her.  She will be flying out on Saturday to her "A" school at Goose Creek, SC so we will only have a few hours with her on Friday after graduation.  We are all so excited to see her.

We have been writting to her everyday and sending lots of pictures - it is like she is starved for them and can't get enough.  :-)

We will be going to Sarge's Meet and Greet - Are any of you going to be able to go to PIR?  Still looking for another phone call from her we are hoping in the next couple of days.

we (me, aunt, uncle) are also coming in the 4th.

going to Sarges meet and greet  too!  It will be so wonderful to see you in person!

also just got a letter from her saying they should have had phone time last week but some people in the div "just couldnt shut up" so they lost it - big :(

she did say she was confident of their teamwork - just knowing they will do well!
