Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 063 and 064

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

That is what my son said. He said that they are tough on them but there is respect and that he knows they want and expect the best from them. He said the ony problem was some needed to learn to keep their mouths shut.

my son said the same thing, that there were a few that just werent getting it

Phone calls tonight from this division.  I missed a call, but he left a message.  Sounds VERY happy and much better.  Says the divisions are working better than they were.  Honestly they're getting more calls than I figured they would! Love it!!

Wow!!  Got a phone call from my son tonight.  It is mazing how he sounds.  I can hear the change in his voice, we can read the change in his letter.  My MIL read part of the letter he sent her and its AMAZING!!  We have been through a lot in the past month, but today, once again God has blessed us and answered our prayers,  Thank you God!

We got a call too.  Our son sounds great.  He is getting two wisdom teeth out on Tuesday.  He said he hears hell week will start next week and he is hoping the staff will be at a minimum so it wont be so bad for Christmas.  He also said they have been playing music for them.  Good to hear they are all doing so well.

Sending good thoughts and prayers for wisdom teeth, mine got 3 days in bunk.   I know they are supposed to get measured for dress blues this week too.  I heard they know how to iron too.    They have less than 30 days to go :). See y'all at PIR. Hooyah!!

Thanks Ruddgirl.  Our son was getting 2 siq days.  I think they get one for every tooth maybe? He was going to miss the dress measurement as his procedure was during the measurement. Anyway, we got a letter from him yesterday and he sounded great.  Good spirits.  One month to go!

Because I missed my call last night I was not able to ask questions.  I'm sorta lost on what week they're in right now? I understand there's a lot of folding of the skivvies & boot polishing.....lol. OH! Oh!  And I'm told my son finally has more than one speed.....lol

Hi All,

My son is Ship 3 Div 063. Is is going to be an FMF corpsman. I am so looking forward to seeing him at PIR and to meeting his shipmate's families!

These divisions are probably at about training week 4 now (there are 6 actual training weeks).   They will "lose" a couple of days with Christmas and New Years Day (holidays are "hold" days) but will be on track for graduation.

I don't know about any of you but I've gone from counting days I've survived to days until PIR.  The latter feels much nicer!

I have too.  They should start learning fire arms this week.
