Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 123 and 124

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi Everyone

Happy to e-meet you all!

Mom to SR in Ship03 Div 124...

We did get a call on Sat morning early, so ahead of when i was expecting it took me by surprise! No mail yet but we keep sending letters so hopefully he is getting them and we will get one soon!

Nice to be able to chat with others now that we are all part of the larger Navy family!

cfrates...i received my first letter yesteday!  I have sent three so far...I have not received my FORM LETTER yet!  hmm

Got the first letter today ship 03 div124. My sounded very very home sick. But his bunk mates are cool. i have mixed feelings about his letter and how he sounded. I hope things get better for him.

my son is homesick too he said...but that is normal...

I got my first letter's today from my SR yeah!!!! I was crying the whole time I was reading it. He seems to be doing good he assures me that he's fine, he said alot of them are sick but they are all dealing with it. Oh once again stated that he loves the food. I can already tell in his letters that he is changing, his hand writing was perfect. Said that his div/brothers all work together and that makes things easier. Started with 92 and are now down to 86. 7 more Fridays as of tomarrow did I mention 7 more Fridays!!!!!! Have a good evening everyone. He also mentioned that this week would be difficult.

So happy for you!  No letter here, didn't think I would get one.  My son is so not a letter writer! He even told me when he called Saturday that he probably wouldn't write Sunday since he was talking to me then.  :(  Seven more Fridays to go - woohooo!  Any other info. you can share would be awesome!  I will continue to write and send letters and hope he will write this Sunday!

For those on the East Coast like myself - be safe with this incredible blizzard about to bear down on us!  For those at PIR tomorrow, prayers for safety and an awesome great time!  Congrats!

Prayers sent to you Nicks  mom...during this horrific storm

Somoza mom...my son said the same thing...Intense training would be tough...

Good morning ship 03 div 123/124. So saturday is coming tomorrow and I'm going to make sure I have my phone with me at all times!!! It was so nice getting the letter yesterday  and hearing he is doing great. My son is Josh and was telling me when he got his WDU's he felt like a bad a**.....something about a uniform that makes a man stand up straight, shoulders back and exudes confidence! I can't wait to see our "sailors", they walked out as our little boys like whipped puppies but will march out like strong Sailor men! I've read to bring lots of tissues and tissues I will bring (if I get to get in). I'm actually the steo mom, and when I heard the rumor that only 3 people might be able to go in it breaks my heart. His bio mom has been gone for two years and causes him so much grief that most of the time (weeks in a row) he doesn't answer her phone calls unless he absolutely has to give or get info. He's lived with his father and I for 6 months. but it's about him and not me and I wrote him in a letter and told him that if that happens for him not to worry, I would stay at the hotel and warm up BBQ (his favorite that I'm making him) so she can go. sorry for rambling......just a bad morning I guess and I can't talk to my husband cause he gets mad when I say that cause he says I've done more for her than she has......I know (my) son hopes she goes cause it is his mother but she hasn't bothered to be there for him for anything else! But I'm like Moses's mother.....you know the one that gives up the son so not to destroy him.  I just really hope it stays at 4 guest for PIR. question......If another SR only has 1 person going can they add another name to the list? Again, sorry to ramble.....I don't have many emotional days like this!

Hi Robin- it's starting to look like my SR is only going to have me and his stepdad there with him at graduation. I don't know how we go about it, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind adding you to his list. I'll know by the end of today if his grandparents are going and then I'll let you know.

Robin I got word back from my sons grandparents- they plan on being there. I shouldve waited before saying anything on this board. You deserve to be there- your love for your SR is obvious. I hope & pray it works out for you. From what it sounds like you will be!

Thanks so much for the offer anyway, just saw your post but someone posted yesterday that it will be 4 guest!!! YAY!!! wow....yesterday was my first real bad day since he left!
