Thank you all for your support.  My husband and I have told him that he is being tested and to do the very best he can at whatever they give him.  I've told him this is the time to figure out what's inside him, pull himself up by the boot straps and keep going.
I was talking about this with my husband last night, and he said that these things do happen all the time, and that there can be multiple squad leaders in one day.  This doesn't do much to ease your sons, and your, disappointment that it happened.  He's obviously a strong young man because he's continued through this far.  Hang in there!!  He's lucky to have a supportive Mom like you!!  :-)
Its ok Sondra. All the guys in our sons division like and support each other. Let him know to keep his head up high!!!

Thought some of you might like to view this site I ran across. It details what our SRs are doing on pretty much a daily basis.

Thanks!!  I'll come back to this when I have a little more time later.  :-)  I'll let my SR's gf know about it.  That way she'll know what he's doing on a certain day.  :-)

Just got another letter (#3) from my SR.

He got his recruit crow/petty officer 3rd class. (Talked to his recruiter to see what that meant and he said it is a good thing, means he is a leading.) Said he is part of the crew that cleans the "head" (bathroom).

YIPPEE !!!!!

(They are drilling more in prep for "hell week". You might want to  ccheck out this url to see what that is about:

Glad you got your call navymom.  We got another letter from our SR yesterday he says everyone is doing really well and pulling together as a team.  Wtg 342 keep up the hard work we are all very proud of you!!!!

Great day today. Just got a short (10 minute) call from my son. Was FANTASTIC to hear his voice.

Sounds like the division is really pulling together as a team.

They are starting weapons training tomorrow and getting up at 0300.

Hope more of you MOMs get a call today.

No call yet but I am sure they are all busy.
PIR is getting closer and closer for this PIR group. I still can't believe September is almost over, Here is just a heads up, I am working on the ribbons for your group to wear to PIR, I have several that I haven't received the payment for so if you ordered and forgot to send your payment please remember to do that :-) I will begin mailing the ribbons for this PIR group very soon. If you have any questions at all send me a message or a friend request and I will get back to you ASAP. Thanks so much!!! I hope you all get some awesome letters and fantastic phone calls this week.  If you haven't seen the Encouraging questionnaire I posted in the discussion be sure and check it out. This is a really good time to send it. It is funny and has a really encouraging paragraph in it about battle stations. You can even send a couple extras for them to share with their friends and they can fill it out and send it to their family. You guys are awesome, Thanks again, Lala
