Welcome to the discussion group for division 803.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

I received two letters from mine today Darlene.  Go back thru this thread, I shared alot of what he said.

Hello...going to address outside social media links, etc.

All I am going to do is point you to th Navy For Moms (N4M) Community Guidelines. (That's a clickable link) Please see the section on • Don’t Solicit for Products, Services, etc. It's the seventh item down. You can send them via PM to each other.

While you're there please go ahead and go over the rest of them if you have not read them yet. There here to help, not hurt. :-)

If you have ANY questions please feel free to message the site administrator. just click her Profile Pic or the link next to "Posted by" under the title of the Forum Discussion.

Thank you!

Cor is here now (Hi Cor!) and she is a great help with the 800 Divisions. Has great advice on being careful in what you post. Especially for the 800 Divisions.

One "word of advice" NO SITE is secure. It doesn't matter if it is public like this one or closed or secret or double top secret...you don't really "know" who each other is and their are a lot of posers out there. Anyone can easily join a secret or private group and then simply highlight, copy and paste the information anywhere they want too. Rather than "blame the internet site" it is best for us to learn what to say and what not to say.

I'll give you an example: When my husband was deployed the first time...I had no idea where he was going and did not find out until he got home. You use an APO/FPO when they are deployed and I believe Ships have something special as well. Both times I had no idea on the exact date he would return...only a guess. When he did know, he gave it to me in code. I told no one...only the possible month. That way there was no possibility of a "slip up" by anyone else.

That's all, don't be afraid to post...just "watch the details" and you'll be fine :-)

I don't put any of my personal info out there and I have enjoyed this site very much for the past year and a half! Boot Camp is a "Boot Camp" for us "moms" too!

sjtina should be along soon as well to help you all out!

Wow this group is moving extremely fast. I would like to offer my opinion about posting on FB. Please remember that your sons are Spec Ops. FB shows your last name, pictures, and personal information. As private as it may seem, the instructors will eventually start reading your posts on here and FB. They will try to link you and your son together and read the comments out loud. These comments will not only embarrass your recruit, but could cause additional PT or loss of privalges, such as phone calls for the whole group.

It is best to discuss names and other information through private messaging.

This is a wonderful place to get information, support, and make new friends. Just use discretion when discussing specific info about your recruit.

Thank you so much for the heads up...I think this is all new to us, and we need this kind of advice!

Felicia, my son did sound upbeat but stated he is busy all the time. Said food was good but missed my cooking, lol! He really enjoyed receiving my letters and the silly things I wrote about.
His letters ( three came in one ) sounded like him, but he was looking forward to seeing family at Graduation. I am also...

I am glad he sounded upbeat.  I hope my sounds more upbeat the next letter I get from him.   When I talked to him on the phone Tuesday he was calling from infirmary because he had one of those sore throats that hurt to swallow.  He hardly ever was sick.  He said everyone is sick.  I could tell it was wearing him down.   :0(    Make the grizzly bear come out of moms.

sigh .......really ?????

No letter?

Hey Everyone!   Anyone get a letter today?   I sure hope so!   I sure would like to hear what your son/daughter had to say.

My son sounded so down.   I sure hope he sounds up on the next letter.    I would love another phone call too.

I feel helpless.

@Darlene...go ahead and stalk the mailman.    Tell him to bring you a letter or you will continue to stalk him.   :0)

LOl...Felicia...I now how  a stalker feels for sue! Are you planning on going to any of the Meet & Greets?  I've tried to find RSVP's for them and can't?

Got our first letters today, looks like has been writing a little everyday and we got several at once!  I almost kissed the mail lady lol!  I just happened to be off, and going to the mailbox to mail him a 2nd letter for this week, and she was driving up.  When she handed me the pile of mail, his was on top... she just smiled at me :)  It was better than Christmas morning, when I get to watch them open the presents!!!!
