Aren't these just the longest days in your life?  I'm now a mailbox junkie, hangin' out by the box all the time just waiting for that letter!

Does anyone have a son or daughter Ship 6, Div 945?  Being a performance division, I'd love to hear what you know about the workload and their (few) extra privileges.

        Thank you all!

@Heathersmom-- I am kind of thinking that. Still no call and lights out in less than an hour. He said he was having problems.
Thanks for the information.
Your welcome.I will say an extra prayer for you and him both. Keep positive.....
Ya'll who haven't gotten your calls yet...don't panic. Sometimes the new Sailors have other duties...standing watch, if they are Honor Rcts or Award winners they have extra practice.
Oh you Two are a blessings JessicaB and Heathersmom!! ((((((Hug))))))))) That makes me feel better.
Thank you I forgot about the Dutie thing.... Duh Me!!

Hope for the best and dont worry about the rest unless I have to.
Yes, I believe I saw you on the RTC website also asking about this kind of thing. :) More than likely he DID have watch duty for that hour while the others were making phone calls, so you should recieve a call today. Everyone passed battlestations. Hooray! Don't worry you'll be on the road soon to see your SAILOR graduate on Friday. :)
Thank Chefswifey!! Yes got my call today. He was at the dentist and got back late!! He sounds so good and excited to get on with his Navy life. :) I even got my instructions where to sit!! LOL Off to get things done so we can hit the road!! See you all there!!
Thank you all for all your prayers and kind words!! You are Super!!

Oh I am so relieved! Bless your heart! Everything is coming together :) Hope to meet you there. Leaving Fl now and can't wait until we reach our destination. Safe travels to all!
Thank you heathersmom. Whew!! I was getting nervous there. I knew that I should have gotten a call yesterday but you know when it dont come that old enemy called 'doubt' creeps in there.
Safe trip!!! See you there!!
Whaletalker: Saying an extra prayer for you and your son. My daughter told me everyone passed BS. You will get your call tomorrow AM.
Thank you newmom60 all the help is a welcomed thing. Best of all from the Heavens above.
Hey my Friends. I am heading off to bed to get some sleep before we hit the road. I will check how things are going after I get up there. I sure didnt get very good sleep last night,, I wonder why?? Hmmmm
Lots of prayers sent all your ways,
Have faith, you told me and you were right.
Hang in there and safe trips to the 'Windy City' all!
Congratulations to everyone and their sailors! It was a positively awesome weekend and it ended all too soon. Div 945 was flawless in their performance and a big hats-off to them!!
We chilled in our room after PIR on Friday. Thanks to the suggestions from you Navy4Moms, we took a room that had a comfortable livingroom and another small bedroom room next door for the overflow crowd. Ordered in for some Chicago pizza (never had it before--oh what we've been missing!) and pretty much spent the afternoon talking, hugging, talking, watching the Cubs on TV, and more talking. Took a wrong turn on our way back to RTC Friday night and just got our sailor back in time, but believe me when I say we were sweating bullets all the way! Not being used to the spicy food after all these weeks, he got some heartburn! Saturday we drove in to see the Cubs play . . . cold and windy! Saying goodbye on Saturday night was THE hardest part so far. Even harder than saying goodbye at MEPS. I cried like a baby back to the hotel!
We were up at 3 a.m. for the 15 hour drive home yesterday but our sailor's girlfriend decided to stay Sunday with him until that afternoon and flew home later.
What do you all think of the pictures you purchased? Ours were worth every penny!
Warmest congratulations to you Chelsey! I'm sure your finance is quite a guy!
Blessings to you all and your new sailors!!!!
