Jeannie,

You sound just as busy. I just got my first real letter from my son yesterday:-)! He also had a minute to call but I was busy at work and could not answer....Darn! He sounds good and is working hard. I think he was very prepared for this. We come from a family of military people and he knows the stories. I write him a letter every day and pretty much mail them every day except on Sundays. I don't think a letter every day is too much and he has not said anything. In his voice message he said he had gotten a few letters and was able to write.

Have you heard anything about the meet and greet on Thursday before graduation?

Debbie

Do you know how long it takes them to receive our letters?

Hi,

No I don't know.  I still haven't received a letter or a call from my son.  Hopefully this week.

Hi Debbie

I know that there is one.  We don't arrive until 9:00pm so I am afraid that we will miss it.  I was to anxious to get our flight before knowing more of the details.  Oh well, lesson learned.  Have you received any more letters?  Jeannine

Jeannine, Sorry it has taken me so long to get back on here (darn school!). I got two long   letter from my son. He writes a little every day and mails them on Sunday. He said that is the only day he can mail it. He called last Thursday Feb 17 and we got to talk with him for 51 minutes:-)!!!! Well he talked for 45 of it. He sounds great.

Did you get a call?

Debbie

Yes we did get a call but for only 10 minutes.  I'm not sure what happened that he could only talk for such a short time.  I think he might have used up some time trying to get a hold of his former girl friend.  I hope he gets to call again soon.  It was way too short.  Good luck with school!  Jeannine

My son told me that they got 60 minutes to call but lost 5 minutes for something and then another 5 minutes for something esle ( I don't remember the reason he said). But they did something good and got 5 minutes back so they all got 55 minutes. He said there was a lot of phones so there was no waiting. My son doesn't have a GF so we get the call for the whole time:-).

I am hoping for a call tomorrow too. Hope yours is longer.

Debbie

Are they supposed to get calls tomorrow?
Received my first letter today!!  So excited! Short, but sweet.  He passed the swim test and it is covered in snow.  Anyone else heard from their SR?

That's AWESOME!  Are you talking about the pool being covered in snow?  Oh My!

I've only received the form letter.  I am hoping that we hear something soon.

No (guess I did kind of run two thoughts together), GL is covered in snow.  They had to run in snow for 25 min to get to church on Sunday.  He wrote it Sunday, so hopefully you'll hear something from your SR soon!!!!  Let me know...
Thank you for sharing!!
