my boyfriend is ship 07, div 114. he told me when he called that they were able to do the letter thing on sunday, so watch the mail!

Our PIR date is March 25th!  They just posted it!  Div 109 - 114  & 919

my boyfriend is in this division, they start writing on sunday!

I feel like I have never written so many letters with so little in them! Finally, in the one I wrote today, I just admitted that we were basically pretty boring and he wasn't really missing too much at home!! If I have to write about another snowstorm....

I'm finally beginning to feel a little bit more "normal"--at least I don't cry every time something reminds me of him. He was already away for 4 years of college, so I should be used to him being away, but this is very different. I am so looking forward to 3/25.

Well, still no form letter so my husband called the recruiter. He had no info and said the initial info changes anyway...Has anyone else heard of that? My son left on the 25th arriving in GL late at night on the 26th..is that the same dates for your Sailors?? Just wondering if I should have info if everyone else does. The recruiter did say that this Sunday will be his first opportunity to write so we should get letter with address from him next week. Does a form letter come from our son or is it something that the Navy sends? Just getting concerned since others seem to have info and all I've received is "the box"!
I think you may have a poor recruiter.  My son's recruter was able to give me his ship & div number on the 26th.  He didn't say anything about it possibly changing.

I agree. You may want to try going into the recruiting office and try talking to him in person.

lisap: I know how you feel, we lead fairly boring lives too only our letters are all about another sunny day!

Jenine: We have not received a form letter either...only a box which we got on Tuesday. I'm hoping maybe this afternoon???? Our SR arrived at GL late the 26th. Our SR's might have been on the same bus!

Jenine--I've only received the box--no letter and my son arrived on the 26th also.

SSMom I feel much better!

Ok! Ya'll just made me feel better now that I know we're all in the "same boat" playing the waiting game!!! I just pray that they are all doing well and are successful in all the goals set before them..
Sigh, the mail just came and no form letter.....  :(   I'm beginning to think it's back there somewhere sitting in an airplane that's stuck in the snow!  :)  Just going to have to keep on waiting...and waiting...and waiting....  :)
Does anyone know how they are assigned to divisions? Is it when they arrived or by what job they chose?
