Hi--my son is also in this division. Have you heard anything yet
I got a call from my son on Sun.  He wasn't able to call me on Wed because the calling cards I got him didn't work.  It was real quick, just telling me he was ok.  I'm wondering if we will get his box today?  My son is going to Pensacola FL after BC for air traffic controller school.
I haven't heard from him since he left last Wednesday, but I'm sure he is ok. He is also going to Pensacola after BC for Cryptology Tech. I'm guessing the south will be a welcome relief after the 2 feet of snow they are getting now--they'll build good muscles from all the shoveling....
I'm glad they let him call you at a later date!  My son called at 12:10am our time on Wed. night/Thurs morning.  They let him use his cell phone to call. I was suprised at that.
I was okay with him calling me anytime :)
I just got "the box" !!!
I was hoping to get the box today but I'm thinking the weather will hamper our mail delivery.
I just got it about an hour ago. All his clothes were wadded up and his pant legs were still rolled up from taking the boot measurement. At least now I know he is there for sure!
I don't know what division my son is in...I received "The Box" yesterday but no form yet. I had thought that getting "The Box" would bring tears but the way it was packed was a little humorous to me! It was not the tidy package I had imagined it to be but rather one with everything dropped into it and obviously in the order it was taken off! My son is also going to A school in Pensacola.

You should be able to get that information now from your son's recruiter.  Yes, the box was humerous. I was told they wad all their clothes up and put it all in the box as fast as possible...no time for folding when you're being yelled at!

Jenine, I also laughed when I opened the box. It looked just like he left his room. Evidently, they haven't started to learn to fold yet.

My son left me his recruiters number and I was able to call and get his info and address. I'm hoping to get the form letter soon--just to get some extra info. My son didn't divulge too much before he left...but that's the way he has always been

When I opened the box I could almost feel his panic trying to obey his first commands! Of all my children, he is the one that I almost never had to raise my voice to...so compliant and pleasant.. so it's hard for me to imagine him being yelled at but he knew it was coming so I'm sure he's ok with it! This is so helpful for me to message with other moms going through the same emotions that I am experiencing! We are a big and close family and to let one leave is difficult. Glad ya'll are here!
