Hello. Wondering if there are any moms out there who have a daughter in this division. Graduation is 3-2-2012

Sarahs mom: When my daughter called my two younger daughters were still at school. What we did was have my daughter call back and let it go to voice mail and she left her sisters a message so that they would be able to hear her voice... just a thought...
Thanks for the info AnnetteA. Have a great week
Did you all want to choose a color of scarf that will represent your division at pir and the meet and greets? Its not mandatory, I was just wondering! If you decide, post it on the main page please! Thank you!
I guess we will all have to think about that one. What colors are left?
Might be a neat idea. I vote for black since I already have a black scarf. ha!
Sounds good. I need a new scarf anyway!
So Black it is? Yay! That is my son's favorite color other than red. And also my favorite color to wear since it is so slimming! :)
I just may go shopping this weekend. I may get Sarah a few things for graduation weekend. I will probably wear jeans to the graduation along with a sweater or top that will match a black scarf. We would love to be able to go to Sarge's meet and greet, but I dont think we will make it in time. We cannot leave until 4pm on Thursday to drive to Great Lakes, and it will take us 4 hours to get there. We wont be there until 8 or 9pm all depending on traffic. I really wanted to go to that, but with Lindsay being in school, and John working a new job, we could not leave earlier. I do plan to try to get to the main gate at graduation at 6am. Everyone out here say the better. Where did you say you were staying?
We are staying at the Navy Lodge. At first it was just going to be my parents and me and my daughter. But Garret has firmly requested his step dad and little brothers be there as well so I guess the whole family is trekking down there. Should be fun.
It will be my husband, my daughter, and Sarah's best friend, Joey with us. And of course, the dog, Sugar. We have to pack her kennel with us, so thank goodness it is not huge, although, I do have to figure out how to break it down so it lays flat in the car. We were able to get our rooms for 64.00 a night. Is Garret going to be able to spend all weekend with you, or does he leave for tech school the next day? Sarah had no idea going in what she wanted to do, so I am still at a loss on that one. I hope she goes to tech school in Great Lakes, for then she wont be so far away. I wonder if we can visit them while they are in tech school
Garret will be doing OS school so yes it looks like he will be at the tech school there at GL.
Hey, I received a letter from Sarah today, dated January 25th. OMG, she sounds so much more upbeat. I am sooooo happy!! She actually sounds like she is getting the hang of it. The only thing that scares her now is all of the memorization of Naval terms. Did you know that you can go to a website that explains what our recruits do day by day and week by week. Here it is for you http://www.navydep.com/forums/showthread.php?t=433. I think they may have done the gas mask training on Friday.
I went shopping today, and bought a black scarf. I also went to T.J. Maxx, and found a really cool outfit to wear to graduation. It is a light orange dressy tank top to go underneath a long black sweater. I found the pretty scarf at Sears. I am ready to go.
Hope you are doing well. Are you going to go up the night before on March 1st? WE wont be up there until about 9pm or after. I plan to be at the gate at 6am for graduation. I will look for you!
