DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

so...let's assume they start today as week 1-1, then we can count on getting a phone call at the end of week 3-5 or week 4-1. I hope so :)

Me too! If they keep up with the way they have been going, we might get lucky and get a call sooner. Yipee!

@Sweetlove...We're glad you found us too! I think we are all anxious to get a phone call. I have only booked the hotel so far. Have my flight scoped out, but waiting to pull the trigger. Welcome!

I'm ready to go to Chicago, tick tock tick tock! Got my hotel, rental car and flight booked! I had to jump on a good deal on the flight, Jetblue! I saved $100/per person. I know it's early but I had to take advantage of a good deal :)

@Sweetlove...What rate is your SR? Is he staying in GL for "A" school? My flights are actually going down so I am waiting just a little longer :)

That's cool...I do think all the sailors who aren't staying at GL leave the next day though :(

That would be really nice. I hadn't heard that around...good news.

I finally have a new lock installed on my mailbox...Yeah! Now I can open the thing without struggling for 10 minutes. In a blizzard, that is not fun!

HaHa....Just don't put your hand in your jacket pocket and point your finger :)....I think if we are going to get another letter, it should be today...Here's hoping!

No letter from my son today.  I am hoping mail is just a little slow coming out of Great Lakes and a letter will arrive tomorrow.

Hi Sharon...I did get a letter today and he said it was Thanksgiving and they were on P-4 day, hoped they were starting PT on Monday or Tuesday at the latest...Not sure if "hoped" is the right word, but it sounds like they are ready to get going...LOL...So, check yours tomorrow it should be there :)...I'm in Montana.

I could really use a letter from my son right now. I miss him so much :(
