OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

RTC Graduation

**UPDATE 3/07/2022**

Mask Mandate has been lifted but you are still required to be vaccinated.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Hi there, I received my form letter in the mail yesterday and I was super excited to see my son's handwriting.  His ship is 09 division 199 with a graduation date of 6/29.  I can't wait.  Anyone else?

I have only received one letter so far. Has anyone gotten more than that? I wish I would hear from him a little more than that. Anyone staying at the Ramada near Great Lakes?

Not to brag but I have gotten like 6... though he said there isn't a lot of free time to write

Has everyone in this group for Ship 9, Division 199, received their PIR letter from their SR?  I haven't received mine yet. :-(

Sharonbell- yes, I received my Form Letter with the PIR date the week of May 7th.....what day did your son leave and how do you know that he is in this division if you haven't received the Form letter?

it was received today - he sent it to his girlfriend.  I guess we'll see you guys on June 29th (if all goes well).  :)

My son is on Ship 09 DIv 199

I received only 2 letters from my son.  However, still looking for a phone call.  Shannon, did your son say in his letter how is everthing progressing for them?  Wish them all the best.  My son letter is very short.

Hello Ladies:

Anyone need an addition 4 spaces? I will not be able to attend the 6/29 PIR. Also, anyone getting any feed back from son/daughter? How is everthing going.  I have not spoken with my son.

Hi acgreen, actually I need an additional 2 spaces........can you send me a private message?

Anyone from 199/200 heard of a BattleStations date for them (they are brother divisions and will go together).  If you have, please friend request/private message it to me.  I'm keeping a schedule.  We cannot post the dates on the pages here...can only private message.  Thanks!  I don't have any confirmed dates yet for this PIR group.

Yeah  :) My son is now a sailor!!! I got the call today.  Can't wait to see him next week.
