Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 003 & 004.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi! I did not get a call this weekend. I was disappointed. Maybe next weekend!

We received a phone call last night from our son. Call came in around 6:10pm. It was the longest call thus far (5 minutes) and was a 'non business" call, so he was able to chat.He just ranked up from E1 to E2!

I'd expect the entire div may have gotten to make a call, he said the lines were very long to use the phones. My son arrived on 8/24 and was set back three weeks and then joined Div 004. We've received multiple letters; yesterday's letter (date 10/1) he stated they took the PFA. Of the 93 SRs, 33 passed.

Hi everyone! I have a daughter in division 003, ship 09. I got my first letter and she sounds great!. I have not gotten a call though since the first "I am here and safe" call. Has anyone gotten any phone calls? I miss her so much but I am so proud of her.

Our son is on Ship 9, Div 4... Only one letter dated the 25th of September and that one phone call when he arrived.  Hoping for something this week. Where did she ship out of?  Our son shipped out of San Diego on the 18th of Sept.

My daughter shipped out of Michigan on the 18th. I am hoping for a call this week too.

I received a letter last Thursday. Just keep my phone charged and on my body 24-7. I fall asleep with it it my hand. I am an Operating Room nurse Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and I am hoping he doesn't call when I am at work. He knows my hours so hopefully he won't. I would feel so bad knowing he was calling and not being able to answer it. It helps me to just keep writing him and know he is getting mail!

I understand.. I keep my phone on loud ringer, so when Im seeing patient's I can here it.. My nurse has instructions to answer it if there is any hint its from Great Lakes, Waukegan, or Chicago..

Oh, the things we nurses do for our doctors!!! :)

So I see you live in La Quinta. Are you planning on flying out of Ontario? We live in Tehachapi(southeast of Bakersfield). We are thinking Ontario since we will be leaving our car. Our Matt is from Atlanta. We just moved here last December. Bakersfield only uses two airlines and the fares are much higher than LAX and Ontario. Not making final plans yet as anything can change that PIR date. (I don't want to jinx Matt with a bad sinus infection or ingrown toenail :)

Yes, we are going to leave out of Ontario Wednesday AM.. Since ONT. is just an hour away it makes more sense..  Flying out of Palm Springs is another 150.00 per person.. so I know where you are coming from by not flying out of Tehachapi.  Lets don't talk about illnesses, our Matt is so rarely ill, definitely do not what to Jinx anyone.  We found Delta had some good deals, and they do not charge extra to have 3 people sit together unlike United, AA or Continental. Southwest was our 2nd choice.. Our flight goes to SLC, the to ORD (O'Hare). We arrive late afternoon. Our Daughter is flying in from Charlottesville, VA to see her brother graduate.. It should be a blast..  Stay in touch.. maybe we will see you at the airport. :)

My son Johnathon is  Ship 09 Div 003 also... one letter so far :(

Have you booked your flight and hotel?

Wheres everyone staying?
