Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 065 and 066

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I am on my phone not a laptop so I couldn't get the link to copy and paste. I got it from a post diannep left earlier. If you can't get it to work, let me know. I will warn you. Gave me extra anxiety for a bit. My name is Cindy, BTW.
Yes I will be at GRADUATION.
Awesome!!!!! Can't wait to really meet you. Where is your SR going to A school?

Wow. Lot's of you from Texas! We have family in Austin. I love it there :) My SR is in div. 066 and we are from the Chicago area. Nice and cold up here! We only live about 45 minutes from Great Lakes. Still thinking about getting a hotel room Thursday and Friday nights because I've heard that it can take hours to check into their A School. My son is 22 and staying in GL for A School. He will be a Machinist Mate. Anyone else?

My son is in. 066. He said he made friends from Chicago. Is was thinking he might go home with one of them for christmas. He says they can get adopted.
Your son is in my son's Brother Division. I'm not certain what is happening after PIR. I know my son is going to Pensacola, FL for A school.
He stays at Great Lakes.

OK not sure if this is exact but. Our recruits are kinda on an accelerated track it seems. They have 8 weeks and 3 holidays in there. Usually from what I saw BS21 is last week (8) or next week (9). But ours will be week 5 day 2. Somewhere around there. That's like Dec 24th..... Anyone else heard that?

BS for this group will not be in December, it will probably be at the beginning of PIR week. BS is generally week 6 day 5 of training, it can be sooner if a push division.

It's so great to have a place to go to hear from and talk to other moms from Division 66! I am so grateful for all the effort these veteran moms go to to make it easier on us new moms. My son will go to A school in South Carolina. Do any of you have SRs going there after PIR? Funny that so many of you are from Texas, but really neat! We are from Idaho. Just hoping we can get to PIR without any travel issues.
We're coming for graduation from Utah! My husband is Div 65. My husband also said they're on an accelerated track as well. He said they're doing everything in 6 weeks instead of the typical 8 or so.

I'll be headed to Dallas Fortworth for Christmas! It's crazy how many of you are in Texas. And no other Div 65 yet?
