Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 159 and 160

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

We heard from our SR last night, and he too has a cough or a tickle. He said his voice was going and it was difficult to hear him because of the raspy voice. We were able to put him on speaker phone and we all got to talk at once just like home huh well a little. His brothers teased and he gave it back so it was good to have that interaction He is of course home sick but says he is making some great friends which is helping a lot. Just so very proud of him and the others.

my son is also on ship 09 div 159..maybe they are becoming friends...my son's fiancee is on ship 02 div 925 and said she also was getting sick, but they have great medicine...lol...my son didn't say if he was getting coughs or not...well a speedy recovery to them all so they can all do their very best...lifting them all in prayer

I haven't heard from my son since last Saturday and no letter yet. This is hard. I miss him so much. I try not to think about it.

Stef your son may have been on watch and not able to call Saturday night. Their letters did not get sent last Sunday, so the should have been mailed Yesterday. I expect letters this week. I miss my son so much also. He is my baby and we are very close. He always knows how to pick me up and make me laugh. So I just think of some of the goofy things he would do and say, and that makes me smile now while he is not here.

My boyfriend got to call me last Saturday, so I was really hoping he would be able to call me this Saturday or Sunday, but nothing. Broke my heart because that's all I had been looking forward to this weekend, because I still haven't gotten any letters:( Nor has his grandma! And I'm kind of worried that I might be sending my letters to the wrong address. Does anyone know what the address is for Ship 09, DIV. 160? Just so I can double check.. Please! I love seeing that you all have been able to talk to your SR's atleast once!! Stay strong ladies!

Natasha the address is SR last name, first name, middle initial

                                    Ship 09, Div. 160

                                    3415 Sailor Drive

                                    Great Lakes, IL 60088-3515

The did not get to send mail last Sunday, so their mail should have gone out yesterday. Also they just started getting their mail from us, this last week. Keep your head up, the letters will come. Your boyfriend may have called his family this Saturday, or he may have been on watch and not able to call this time. Keep your head up. No news is good news.

Thank you so very much!! I'm so glad they're finally getting mail! And even more happy that I have the right address!! Thank you so much, honestly!

Got a nice long 15 min call on Saturday, but no hand written letter yet. My son said there was some problem with a lot of the outgoing mail last week and he had to be resent? Also a lot of lag time on them getting letters. My son keeps rereading the 2 he got but there are many more on route.

Yes my son said he went two days without mail, and I have sent something everyday. He has only gotten like three so far.

Ladies this is the link to the Facebook Page that post Trivia Questions on Tuesdays. If you win, they will post a picture of the Division you are playing for. This is a way to see our SR's, before PIR

Hello, my son is Ship 09 Div 159.  I've received one handwritten letter from him, and phone calls 2 Saturdays in a row!  He said he passed the swim test and they've started doing physical training and running.  He likes the food and has learned a lot about folding clothes and making beds. We've already made our plans to attend the PIR, can't wait to see him!! So proud!!
