No mail today from my SR. Maybe tomorrow?

No mail or call from mine today either.  Hopefully we'll get a call or letter tomorrow.

I'm almost to the point where I'll be shocked if I do hear from him! Lol. Strange tho no one from our div has heard anything yet. I guess no news is good news and there is the navy motto of hurry up and wait! Ugh!

I know they say no news is good news, but it appears that all of the other divisions have at least received letters.  Maybe tomorrow.  I'm just hoping our kids aren't in a division with trouble makers.

4 letters and he's adjusting well. Said the chow is great and can't believe he's gone this long without a soda! Lol

Glad you received a few letters from your SR.  Did your son say anything about the division --- how the division is doing?  I hope they are all doing well and working together as a team.

I haven't received anything from my son yet....maybe tomorrow.

Hi. He didn't really say anything about the division. Just about moving into the ship and that the food was good and that he'd never drank so water before. Actually the letters were surprisingly upbeat.

That's encouraging that he was upbeat.  I hope I get a letter or call today from my son.  Have a nice weekend.

I just got my first real call from my son.  He said he was awarded a ten minute Bravo Zulu call for giving someone the Heimlich that was choking!  He sounded tired, but good!  He was put in a leadership role and is the Petty Officer of the weapons.  It was so good to hear his voice.  Said he's having his wisdom teeth pulled on Monday so I he may not be able to call on Monday, but it looks like Div. 155 is scheduled to make calls on Monday.  Keep your phones near on Monday Moms. :)

Thanks SO much for giving us the head's up about the Monday call! I likely would have missed it had I not been literally carrying my phone in my hand ever since a read your post yesterday afternoon! My son also got wisdom teeth extracted!

I'm so glad you received a call from your son!  When did he call?  How did he sound?  Did your son get his wisdom teeth pulled on Monday?  My son said that only he and another guy were getting them pulled on Monday.  I think they were going to put them out on Monday to have it done, but the others that had them done before Monday were not put out to have it done.  I'm not sure about this though.  Where are you from?

My son called around 5:30 Monday evening. I got the letter he wrote Easter Sunday and it said his teeth were being pulled that week, so I don't think he got them done on Monday. We're from Richmond, VA. My son is going into the Nuke A school in Charleston after PIR -- he's very much a quiet, loner type, so he'd be great on a sub, although he also sounded extremely upbeat on the call! Said he failed his PT -- the push-ups and sit-ups part (big goober -- I told him to exercise more before he left) -- hopefully he'll pass the next try. Where are you all from?
