If you have a recruit in this division please let me know. I know that all of us who have someone graduating on 06/11 have to stick together. But it is so nice to know the family and friends of the men my husband is spending all of his time with. Also, I thought we could send letter or cards to each others recruits to add a little variety to their letters. Please let me know what you think!

I know my husband would be so thankful to know that I am getting so much support from his classmate's families. I look forward to talking to everyone on here and learing more. I can not wait until the meet and greet to be able to put a name with a face.

Good luck Navy Ship 11 Div 212!!!

Joshswife, can you share with us if your husband said how the division was doing? Just curious because maybe we all will get calls sometime this week. My son was very determined that he was going to go into BC with a good attitude and I am hoping that is still the fact. All I need is just a morsel (Don't Worry Mom!) that would make my day. I hope when I finally do get a call I don't fall to pieces and forget things that I want to ask him. He is a nice size kid, and when he gives a hug it is worth a thousand. Well wished for mail call to all. Thanks for listening to my whinning!
My son is also in this division. I received the official letter last Wednesday, but have had no word since. I'll let everyone know as soon as I've gotten a phone call or letter. We mailed off a questionaire last week, so hopefully we'll at least get that back sometime this week.
To be honest I didn't ask all the questions I had been planning to ask if he called. I was doing everything I could to hope myself together to let my husband know were doing ok at home. He was so worried about the kids and I. He was having a hard time during the phone call and even more so after he talked to the kids. He did say the guys in his Div were nice and they got along well. He also said most of them did well on their PT. He didn't do as well as he would have liked is why he mentioned that part of it. He also asked me to let him know who's mother/wives I was talking with so that he could let them know we are supporting each other. I am sorry I did not ask more questions, I was not expecting the call, but even if I was I don't think I could have prepaired myself enough for it.
I would like to thank you for sharing those tidbits from your husbands call. It makes me feel a little better, knowing about the rest of the division and that most past there PT. I know we are not suppose to use last names but you can tell Josh my sons last name begins with (L). He is 20 yrs. old and very determined to do well in BC. I hope to ask Kyle about his bunk mates when he eventually calls (Mothers Day would be nice). I miss him so much but I really must beleive he is doing well, I can at least call his girl now and let her know what you shared with us. Hang it there girls, maybe mail will arrive today!
I haven't gotten a letter or phone call but like joshswife, I got the Deers/Tricare form for my son's daughter. Boy, I'd like to hear something soon. I just want to know that he's doing okay. Someone tell me more about this meet and greet. We are staying at the Springhill Suites but I heard there was some kind of a meet and greet at the Ramada. Anyone/??
There is a meet and greet the Thursday before grad from 7-9 at the Ramada. When I called to ask questions about it the man said you do not have to be staying there to attend. As far as I can tell it is at their bar. It's a way for all of the families to get to know one another. I can not wait to attend1 You ladies have been my support through one of my toughest times and I can not wait to put a name with a face. I hope that helped a little. My sister in law always gets a letter from my brother (who is also in boot camp) on Wensday's so I will be looking for one tomorrow.

I haven't gotten anything either, mailman was just here and even he asked if i got anything. Now I am down in the dumps . It sure will be nice to meet people at the m&g that we have been sharing our lives with and sons, daughters, and husbands. Chin Up, maybe tommorrow....
I haven't received anything either Brenda - I look forward all day to going home to get the mail and what a let down it is when it's empty. I've been doing good these past couple weeks but I find myself getting a little edgy now and then and I'm sure it's a sign of missing my son. I'm so happy for the other moms and wives who are hearing from their guys - I just want to hear something too :-)
I work nights, and the mail comes late afternoon and I usually build myself up (something will come today) and then the wind goes out of my sails. I can only image how our "Ricky's" must feel. I'm sure they are looking for something to arrive, to let them know they didn't fall off the face of the earth. It is also hard to write encouraging letters when you feel a little down, but I keep writting, even if it seems a little trivial. I hope everyone who hasn't heard anything gets something tommorrow.
Glad to hear you say something about it being hard to write an encouraging letter. When I didn't receive anything in Saturday's mail I found I just didn't have the heart to write one myself that day. I'm back to writing one today but even I can tell it has a little different tone to it. You know what I'm secretly afraid of? That one of his friends will receive a letter before me. Tell me that isn't silly - goodness must be the "girl" in me!
Hello All!
Thank you, joshwife for starting this group. My son's name is Garth and he is in Ship 11 Div 212. I, like so many of you, have not heard anything from him, except for the form letter and his box. At least I know he got there okay, but his lines at the bottom of the form letter sure made him sound homesick! I am sure by now they are all so busy they don't have time to be anything but worn out. joshwife-it is great that you got a phone call! I am sure that lifted your spirits! Does anyone think they will make it a point to do phone calls on Mother's Day this Sunday?? Sure would be the best Mother's Day gift I could get! I will be attending PIR, so I might get to see you all there! It does help knowing our recruits are so well supported from home! Have a great day and may we all get letters this week.
Hi Ladies,
My son is also in this division. I just went to the mailbox & was instantly depressed. Thank you all so much for your comments. It makes me feel better to know that the mail has just not been sorted or mailed & not that he is unable to write for some reason. When I got the form letter, he wrote that he would be writing a letter that Sunday. That would have been 04/24. So I really expected something by now. Maybe tomorrow!
