Yes ... my son is in the same division.  Have you received any phone calls yet??

my fiance is in this division and i have not received a phone call yet. just 2 letters so far! were almost half way done :)
Courtney - same here; 2 letters, no call. I'm hoping maybe Sunday we will get a call.
Pensgal - yes! I received a call from my son today too. It was totally unexpected so I was thrilled. Luckily we have 3 way calling so my husband who wasn't home at the time was able to talk to him too. I was so surprised I forgot things I wanted to ask. I'm writing them down now for the next time he calls. :)))
Hey - i got a phone call too for 22 minutes!!  That just made my weekend!  He said that his division didn't get their letters last night because some of the SR's were loud and wouldn't keep quiet so they took away their letter privelage.  i guess they had over 100 letters, so hopefully they get them today. he said this div did awesome on their test this week.  mostly 4.0's!  woo hoo Div 349!

Hello 349er's.  i got a quick call last night that my son earned.  it was supposed to be for 15 minutes but was for 10.  that is all right. i will take it any day!  he thought they will be able to call home in a couple of weeks.  He said next week is hell week.  He said that DIV 349 did awesome again on another test.  Ave of 4.0!  29 more days!!!!

Hello everone! I just joined and so glad I found all of you. Reading the postings has helped me greatly with missing my son and wondering what is happening with him. Congrats Philly5 for getting an earned call from your son! I look forward to meeting you all in a month!

Glad you found us too! It's so nice to have this virtual support group. Have you found the Facebook page for the Recruit Training Center yet? It is managed by RTC personnel who provide great info, answer questions, and have weekly contests where the winner gets to have a picture of "their" division posted. Philly5 lead me to it, she's been very helpful. Philly5 - you earned that phone call with your kindness. :)))
I saw the postings about the contest. What do I search for in Facebook to locate the page?

vonvon - welcome to the group!  Yes this site has been a true lifesaver!  For the contest info on Facebook- in search- type in US Navy Recruit Training Command.  Then go to the Notes tab on the left side of page.   You will see Wacky Wednesday and Tuesday Trivia.  and yes, whoever wins gets to see a photo of their loved ones division!  how awesome would that be!!!  Good luck.

Can't wait to meet everyone!!!
