OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I have only the same news as you guys have been getting. I really do understand the frustration of families that have someone in 370. I hope the division is doing okay. I too have only received one "I'm here" call and then one short call about four weeks ago. When I see other divisions getting phone calls it does begin to make me nervous. It makes me wonder what is going on with our division. We can just keep hoping for the best. Is the BS for sure on Tuesday? I have heard Monday and then Tuesday. Just wondering? I wonder if they are still getting extra PT time even now. I hope those that are causing problems will soon figure it out so our kids can get the BS passed and on to A school. Yes, I do think I need a group hug! It is great to be able to follow the 370 group and thanks for the info.

((((hugs)))))) to all, this has been a difficult time for all but keep in mind no news is good news! The fact that they are going through Battlesttions on Tuesday is a blessing. That way if they have any issues they can do it again Wednesday! We will all be there Friday with bells on and crying our eyes out as we are proud to be the mothers of United States Navy Sailors!! Chins up we are almost there!!!

My oldest son got a letter from his brother (SR) and he has lost 15 pounds from what he said. He told him at least there were some positive aspects about having the extra PT. That is how he always it though. Making Lemonade out of lemons! I took a break last night, went to church and prayed even more than I have been (which is alot!) I know what is going to be, will be. These guys are going to be great. I got my feelings hurt a bit when I saw a post that someone made regarding the fact that the other divisions are getting rewards because they have earned it in the RC's eyes. Who is to say that many if not the majority of our guys have not worked every bit as hard if not harder but because of a few may have had to suffer? It seems like most of the guys in 370 are maybe a bit older (my son is 21) Most of them have already at least given college a try and worked. I think many of them have actually learned that they need something more in their life and chose this path because of that. This makes me believe that they would be even more inclined to do well there in BC. I just know that all of these guys have worked VERY hard and deserve a great deal of credit. For the few that may have caused problems along the way, all I can say is that in the end, it will make the guys that have had to suffer for it even stronger. They will know how to cope much better than maybe some of the others that have had an easier time if they are ever faced with hard situations. They have had an incredible journey to say the least. My heart goes out to all the family of the SR's in 370. We too are going to be stronger because of all of this. I have not seen where we have set a time for a meet and greet for our group. Anyone have any info???? Please let me know!

Proud mom, hear hear to your entire post!!!! I for one cannot wait to get my SR aside and have him tell me all about it. Sometimes i admit I've been jealous of the divs. that have developed such good reputations, and I hate to think my boy's div. as a whole is not well thought of, but his brother's attitude was, "At least Dennis might stand out" (for trying to do the right thing).
As for the meet and greet, I know there is one at the Waukegan Ramada from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday. I think it is for all N4Ms so I plan to get there. We're staying at the Springhill Suites apparently not too far away All of us 370 ladies need to meet up. -

Thanks savannahgal. I am actually staying at the Residence Inn and plan to get to Waukegan sometime early afternoon. Let's see how many other mom's or wive's, (girlfriends) want to meet and just set a time to all get together.

Remember this...These divisions were put together randomly. The fact that some divisions are doing the better, rewarded, superior, or whatever, It is just plain ol' luck that they meshed well together to begin with. I'm not suggesting that they haven't had to work hard to accomplish these things by any means. It could be the way the RDC interacts with the recruits. I'm guessing we are going to hear some stories explaining more of exactly what went on. All I know is that if there is truth in what has been said so far, graduation day will be all the sweeter for them. That is why I posted yesterday about perseverance. The fact that they have seemed to overcome more obstacles will teach them not to give up, try,try again and have a greater sense of accomplishment. Their experience, while hard to hear about, to me is one of those "blessings in disguise" LOL I guess we generally are saying the same thing. I could go on and on....I'll spare you :) These are the kinds of things that MAKE a person. You see, we really are the lucky ones!! -

Oh and is anyone else confused on the Captains Cup? More conflicting posts. Who knows, I don't think we'll really know everything until we get there. hmmm...makes me wonder.

I agree to getting together. I am also staying at the Springhill Suites. Our flight does not land until 7:10 so we won't make it to the meet and greet. If you would like to get together down in the lounge at the hotel to meet I would love that. Our men have learned through hard work and determination what it takes to make it through. I also can't wait to sit and talk and find out just exactly what the issues were and how they made it past them. No matter what I am so very proud I can hardly explain it. These men are hard workers and this will serve them well in the future! ((((hugs))))) to everyone and let me know what your plans are.

Flying into Midway, it is easier for car rental. I have been to GL 4 times this year not counting this one and Ohare is a nicer airport but Midway is easier!

Toni, sounds good! Good to know someone else at the hotel. Someone else posted they have a shuttle to PIR for $3.00/person, am planning to take that (along w/hubby, and son and daughter). We can sure plan to meet up in the lounge. Either my husband or I will need to go back out around 11 to pick up younger son from Milwaukee airport. He's taking a later flight so as to miss only 1 day of school (soph. in college). We are getting in around noon--hubby wants to get there in plenty of time to drive around area. Getting excited now!
