Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 125 and 126

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

SR mom Ship 11 Div 125

My son is currently in this PIR group, but not sure for how long. He got a concussion the 1st week of boot camp and blacked out, but says he didn't hit his head. He called his gf and told her he was having a hard time walking, and couldn't read or write. He said he could be sent home if he doesn't get better or if he does get better his PIR date will change. I'm only receiving 2nd hand information, and not being able to read, write, and walk sounds pretty serious to me, I have tried calling PAO and they connected me to RTC  headquarters and I have left multiple voicemails, and no replies. Very frustrated and worried about my son. Any suggestions or advice? I don't know exactly what is going on.

Thank you.

Sorry to hear about your son.  Hope your son gets the help he needs soon. Maybe one of the veteran moms can give you some advice about this.

Thank you. I am hoping for the best and for a phone call.

So sorry to hear this I can't imagine how you feel.  I know that in an emergency, death, etc they have you contact the Red Cross to get in contact or get information to your recruit.  I don't know if it is possible to use them for your situation to have them find out info about his well being but it could be worth a shot.

Thank you. We did receive a letter yesterday that he wrote on the 16th, 2 days after he called his girlfriend. So he must be able to read and write again, so that is a good sign. He said he will either be medically discharged at the end of this month or the 1st part of March, or he will switch divisions and pretty much have to redo boot camp. My brother is retired Navy, and he told me to call and try to get a hold of the Command Master Chief of the base. I have called and can't get past the automated system.

Thank you for your information.

Navy Mom 72,

I recommend you call the American Red Cross number they give us for emergencies (877-272-7337). Your son's  situation sounds urgent--but know that they are taking good care of him! This is most definitely an emergency for you as his mom because you need to know how he is doing! Let us know what you find out.

Good luck.

Momma Bear

Does anyone know where this division is in their training?

According to the information I have from my SR, today is week 4, day 1, or the beginning of what is known as Hell Week.  Not sure why it is called that - aren't all of the weeks of bootcamp hell week?  :-)

My husband is in 126 ! He has told me in letters that they are doing better and that he is having fun!

According to diannep:  Hell Week (training week 4) also has lots of inspections.  But the good news is that it is a turnaround week for the SRs...you may notice that they are much more positive starting at this time.  They have lots of accomplishments under their belts and are moving forward!

I am so excited for my son.  Soon we will see him.

No calls or mail today. They say no news is good news. :0|

I haven't gotten a letter in a long time now. Got a call last week after his doctor visit. I'm hoping for one today after his xray saying he can join 125 or 126 permanently. Some have told me this won't be possible, that he won't PIR, he will do cap ceremony and that's it. I wish I knew more, I can't even make a reservation yet. I hope all of your SR's are doing well!
