For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 365 & 366.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Still no letter for me but I am also assuming that no news is good news. Work has been so busy for me haven't been able to be on much lately, probably better that I am busy it makes the days go by so much faster. Not too worried about my SR adjusting to boot camp beause he was the kid who was the early riser who spent most of his summer digging ditches for min wage so I know he knows how to work. And hopefully those 4 years of football with a screaming coach has helped him become numb to the yelling.

Yes, the busier you are, the less you time you have to focus on your son being gone. My son was also an early riser; he was on the swim team and they had to be at practice at 5:00 in the morning. He was also in Taekwondo which helped with staying focused and listening. One of the things that ticked him off (and made the division have extra PT) was that some of the guys didn't "Know how to shut up and listen". That seemed to take a few weeks but they finally did get it together. If your son goes in there knowing that they will yell for the dumbest reasons (my son got yelled the first day because he crossed his "J") then he should do fine. We always got letters on Thursday. I'm hoping that a letter comes from Luke today. My son tried to give him pointers on what to do to stay off the radar but Luke thought he was well prepared. I'm anxious to see if he was as prepared as he thought he was. Hope you get your letter today.

I received a letter from my SR. He said he's doing alright. Got yelled at but he thought it was just his day to get it haha. He said he's passed all his physical tests except for sit ups - which surprises me since he's pretty athletic- so he's worried he won't get to become a sailor. I'll have to write tomorrow to let him know he has plenty of time to make that mark. He said he's gotten 3 letters from me so they are getting letters. Where are you from? When my son ( who's PIR was 8/31 ) sent letters they always came on Thursdays so if you are on the east coast - I'm in Ohio - then they may be there tomorrow. Hope you get one. I know what it's like to see everyone else getting letters and you don't. My son's division didn't get to write when everyone elses did so no one knew how their boys were doing. Very hard to take but luckily someone's son had to call home for security purposes and he told her they were doing good which made the wait for letters much better.

YEAH!! I just came home a found a letter in the mail box from my SR. I hope all of you still waiting will receive one very soon. Its such a relief to hear from them.

He sounds pretty good. He did mention that the whole division has to do push ups almost every morning and they lost some time off their first phone call home but didn't say why.

They've already got to make their first phone call home??? Where do you live that you got a letter? I live in the Seattle area so maybe it hasnt gotten here yet or maybe he just has decided not to write. Never know with him. So glad you got to hear from your SR tho.

I'm sorry! No, they haven't got to call home yet but when they do get to call it will be short due to loosing time. His letter was very short. We are in California so maybe you will receive yours tomorrow. My SR has never liked to write and his handwriting is SOOOO tiny!

He wrote his grandparents and is doing ok. At least he wrote someone. LOL, made my dads day. They are in CA also.
