Please add the Division date to this discussion.

The link is fine.. but I am hoping the Div 097 moms will post on here too.

While each Div does have a discussion...I know sometimes the members like to look at other discussions. I know I did just to here some news from BC. I did not get many letters from my Sailor while he was in BC and the other moms post helped me a lot.

FTLW... you are awesome! thanks for your input and guidance : )

...and thank you for your diligence in helping out!

Hello,

Thank you for your email.  As a newbie, I've got to tell you I'm still trying to figure all the different groups out & which ones will aid me & my family.

I still haven't heard from my son yet.  I know it may still be a bit premature, but is there a list of names that I could check out to see if I could find my son?  He went in on 2/2/2012 and I believe he will PIR on 3/30/2012.

Thank you again,

Martine

dear martine- any news yet? ... I do not know of any lists, due to privacy I'm sure. Have you called the recruiter? Ours was very helpful for address and info.

Best wishes, mz

Has anyone received a letter yet?  Wednesday will be three weeks (he left 1/25/2012.)  I wonder why some sailors left later and are graduating the same time.

Rustydog do you mean form letter or actual letter? I got the form letter within a week and today is 2 weeks she is gone and no snail mail letter yet, But I'm hopeful!!! I wondered the same thing about the graduation time.

Yeah I got my form letter and then all my insurance and military ID info but not actually letter :(( Its killing me!! I have never been away from my husband since we have been together and we have a precious two year old little girl for misses her Daddy so much!! Glad to find you guys on here!!

Welcome ProudWife! can't imagine how difficult this time is for you... i remember when our daughter was 2ys and daddy left for a four day canoeing/guys weekend! We are so proud of your husband to serve his country! I pray you continue to reach out for support & encouragement. you will be surprised how many others you are able to encourage then too : ) ((hugs)) to you both. mz

...personal letters are on the way!!! SR's nana got hers today!

...Recruits file in to RTC at different times being placed into SHIPS/ DIV until there's is full... after processing our SHIP 12/DIV 097 SR's started "day 1" last thur (meaning there's was full and processed thru medical, etc testing)... again no news at that time was good news.... they do whatever it takes to make up for lost time to meet their PIR date.

((hugs))

Hello all... deleting the old Group page and posting our comments onto this discussion page in hopes that we are now "all on the same page" : )

Tomorrow will be 14 days since Tori left. I'd like to say I'm doing okay, but I'm really missing my daughter. My phone is attached to my hand because I know SOMEDAY she will call me and I don't want to miss it. I think our kids are getting a little relax time today, hopefully getting their letters today. I'm glad you all our finding our group, my daughter arrived at BC on January 30th. Yay for our kids for the awesome choice they made to go Navy!

Today is Sunday 2/12/12 and I was hoping to get a letter or call from T-man (son) but nothing so far.  I have mailed 6 cards/letters hoping that he gets them today.  Yes, miss him so much and would like to hear a little news of what he is going through for the past 2 1/2 weeks.  He left January 25th - this is his 3rd Sunday. He is in Ship 12 Div 097.

Rustydog- AO is Aviation Ordnancemen. She will be installing missiles on aircrafts and doing other work on them. That's about all I know about it for now. I have read up a lot on it but don't know if she will be doing exactly as in the job description. We'll see when she gets stationed I hope it's in California where we live!

Thank you for the airline info. I haven't booked any travel yet, but know I should get on it. I'll be traveling by myself while my husband stays home with our younger kids.

Today is 12 days since they left. I hope tomorrow they'll be getting our letters at mail call. I wonder what they are doing too, all the time :)

What is AO?  My son is in NP Nuclear Program.  He is going to Charleston South Carolina when he gets finished with boot camp training.  It's only 4.5 hour drive away from home sooo much better.

Comment by Rustydog Ship 12 Div 097 on Saturday

I set up an airline discount with American Airline  www.aa.com - it's not much 5% the code is 3232DV  - if you book on-line and enter the prom code 3232DV you will get 5% off your airline ticket.  I've booked my flight already.  Atlanta to ORD (Chicago) at $87.00 per person each way not bad tax and total was $173 per person.  I search hours and this was the best and the closest airport.  Can't wait to go.  I hope everyone is doing well.  I wonder what they are doing now!  Saturday?

My daughter is AO. She arrived in GL January 30th. I miss her a lot too.

Alismz- I appreciate this group. I have left several comments on other groups and they seem to get "lost" I'm happy to be able to make a connection with the parents of kids who are in the same SHIP as Tori. Oh,man, I really miss my kid. I'm so looking forward to the first phone call, I need her to tell me she is happy there and okay. I'm sure she is, but hearing it from her will put me at ease, even if it's in a letter.

Question?  Is Div 097 the NUKE group?  He said that he would be with his group in Boot camp?

Comment by Rustydog Ship 12 Div 097 on Saturday

Good evening Ship 12 Div 097 - My son left January 25th I received the BOX and the form letter but no letter from him.  Have any of you received a letter yet?  Wow miss him so much!

Comment by alismz on February 9, 2012 at 12:55am

hey ladies, i'm finding that there is plenty of information, support and encouragement available for all of us... starting this group to get in touch with an "inner circle" of loved ones whose SR's share the same ship 12 div 097 during early 2012...let the search begin!

Has anyone gotten a letter yet... an actual handwritten one?? I am hoping we will get some this week!! I am beginning to hate my mailbox haha... hope you all had a great day!!
