Hi guys - I love reading everyone's comments, but would love to have the Brother/Sister Division members together.  We know that our sons/daughters/husbands/wives/girl-boyfriends are all going through training together and helping each other out.  So...hi...!  :)

Hello, nice to meet ya'll! My son is in Ship 12 Div 270 also and left July 2nd from Dallas.

Hi - my son's in 269 - that's the Brother Division to 270.  Nice to see you.  :)

Hi Crutchd, My son is also in Ship 12 Div 270 and left July 2nd from Columbus, OH. Nice to talk to you.

Hi,

My daughter is with Ship 12 Div 269 as well. Nice to see a few more people in this group. I was starting to think only a few kids were in this group!

Good morning all.....My son is on Ship 12 Div 270 as well....Can't wait until 8/31/2012 to go see him... I have not received any personal letters from him yet....My ex husband got his box and the formal letter about his ship and graduation....I am just glad to have met some more moms who are in this with me.....hopefully are kids become good friends and help each other through basics....

:)

I'm hoping that today is the day most of us receive our long-awaited 1st letter - good luck to all - try not to trample the mailman.  :)

We got our first letter too. It's from the end of processing week and he seemed to be doing well. They were getting lots of vaccinations and trying to stay out of trouble. He also said that he has made some friends and that they were starting to pull together as a team. :-)

Got my letter, and cracked up through most of it.  I forgot how funny my kid can be.  He got there Monday the 2nd, and said he didn't go to bed until Wednesday night.  Said he doesn't remember much, since he was barely awake - only waiting in a bunch of lines the whole time.  He talked about all the blood they sucked out of him, and the vaccines - he said the people at Red Rover were pretty cool.  Today (July 19th) is 2-1 day.  This is what cracked me up - he was talking about the swimming evaluation.  They have to jump off 10 foot dive and swim 50 yds to the other side of the pool.  Then they had to tread water for 5 minutes straight, "which is way harder than I thought, especially when 30 other recruits are holding onto you since you're the biggest one in the pool!"  (That's when I burst out laughing).

He sounds in great spirits - he'd love to have a little more space and a little less blisters - but he's dealing with it.

Hi. Is your SR in  269 or 270? Mine is in 269 and, although I did not get a letter, her boyfriend did. Apparently there were some problems with the group but by the end of the letter things seemed to have gotten better and she befriended a few people.

You can always message someone on here...or...use the other location  :)

Thanks....just deleted it....

Hello... my daughter is Ship 12, Division 270 and left on July 3rd.  I have received the "Form Letter" now and the box... today I received two letters, one envelope.  No information except that she hopes she makes it because so many people have gone home already.  I miss her.
