For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Well, so far there's Suzi and I here. And somewhere should be Britt's mom.
Let's keep each other up to date. Nothnig to tell yet, but my son said I should watch for incoming mail around the 15th! that's Monday or Tuesday. Yea!

Vent all you want. It's perfectly human. We all need to. It doesn't make us weak, or overly emotional or anything but a mother who misses their child terribly, is of course very proud of her child, but still needs a bit of human contact with that child. I understand why the SRs have to face so many obstacles - teeth out with no anesthesia, standing at attention for hours, IT for mistakes, etc. But I also believe that if they go too long without a reward when they are trying really hard the lack of reward can create an opposite effect. I'll leave the Navy training to the Navy but I'm still a mom.

I know I feel the same way, David's birthday was the 12th I didn't get to talk to him now Thanksgiving not a word, what's next Christmas ans New Years I am just so sad

Hi all, my husband is ship12, div 36...I got a his first letter last week but no phone calls yet....I was keeping my hope up for one yesterday but nothing....but they say "no news is good news" so I think our boys are doing fine.

David's mom--- please tell your son I said "thank you". I have been praying that one of our kids would pass the test and be in charge of mail. Yay!! For David. I have missed my daughter terribly and was discourage by her first letter when she said they hadn't gotten their mail yet. I can now relax a little knowing that she has encouragement from the outside. It was a miserable Thanksgiving without her but I am thankful for your son.

Hi all, I just got my 2nd letter from my husband today. He said that if there is an a test coming up and if the div scores 4.4 out of 5, then they all get a 10min phone call. If one of them gets a 5 out of 5, then each will get a 15min phone call. Let's pray for them all so we all can get a longer phone call =;)

We received our second letter. It was a good one. She mentioned how they are coming together as a group. She told us that they keep them so busy they don't have time to be negative. She actually said that she was having "fun". I am very relieved. I know it is hard to prepare someone for the military but I think she was prepared. We did lots of talking about situations before she left.
I pray that we all get a phone call soon. But if we don't I know I will be okay. I keep telling myself that there is a reason for all of this seperation. Even if I don't see it just yet. -

This has been the most challenging Thansgiving I have ever had, I didn't get to see my oldest she lives 3 hours away and she was sick this weekend so we didn't go down to see her and my baby left for basic training Nov 1st and I still have not talked to him, I kept telling myself I would talk to him this weekend but it's 7:00pm in Florida and still nothing, we decorated for Christmas today and I just broke down and cried hard for the first time since he left, Thank God I have my husband to keep me sane, I just need to hear my son's voice, it's been 4 weeks since I have talk to him!!

No phone call here either, but it's Sunday so they probably had the chance to write, so at least we can look forward to receiving another letter at the end of week.

Yall please visit the actual PIR site and share those letters and phone calls with everyone! Also you can vent all you want - this has been a tough holiday season for us all. I have not even put up a tree! I did get my wreath up on my deck. Thats about it.

What a great day!!! I received 2 letters from my son today and a phone call, he sounds so good and he said he really likes it, I can make it now 38 more days
